Thanks for all the inspiration and kind words. I should have prefaced what I wrote that it was a few years ago, but I still hadn't done anything about the weight. The past few years I've been working on it and I've gotten REAL serious about it just over a year ago. I joined SparkPeople about 10+ months ago and haven't looked back...except to donate the old clothes that are now too big for me...WOOHOO!

All of you can do what you really want and desire...just don't "think about it"...DO IT!

Today I got 60 minutes of cardio in and 60+ minutes of lower body work, so I'm good for today.

Til next time,

Carpe Diem

Dwayne, you are doing good. Keep up the good work. We all hit that point and have to realize that we have to get off the couch and make that goal successful. I try to keep moving at all times. If it's just getting up walking around the house.

Hello All,

Sounds like all of you have got ways of squeezing in those precious moments for some exercise. It is doable, just at times, more difficult. I was fortunate when I worked that I could go outside and walk frequently. Sometimes in the course of a 12 hour shift I'd get in 60-90 minutes of quality walk time which helped me lose a lot of weight...then I got lazy and stopped and the weight came back...like a homing pigeon.

At least you are all figuring out ways to get time in and that's the important thing.

Til next time,

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

when my kids were little I'd use them for weights.. :) Made it easier to get the exercise in and they enjoyed it.

If you can get 10 minutes in that's great. But try and do something.

Is your job one where you can do a short workout or walk at least during a break? That will get in one session. It is the hardest thing ever working nights-I did it for years so I understand.

Good Morning StillSally! I work nights right now as I've said before so it's really hard for me to get the workouts in at home with a 2 year old, and trying to fit in some good old fashion sleep.

Tonight I did the 12 Minute Seated Core Workout Video and the 11 Minute Seated Cardio Workout Video. That Cardio one was a little harder than I expected but it may be because I'm in a rolling office chair with Arms!!!!

Sneaking it in is better than not doing it at all!

I always go for a walk after dinner perferably outside. I ride a stationary bike and listen to cds. I check out peoples gardens and ask a freind or relative to join me for a walk.

Happy Joyous and free because God and you. If you need a shoulder to lean on me, drop me a line.
