Good Morning All,

Been missing for a few months. I join a thread and sometimes I don't receive emails when someone else posts for 2-3 months. Where is the spot on Spark People where I can see all the threads I've been on? Can't seem to find it...

HOPIE...adding a 1/2 mile to your treadmill work is fantastic. Keep it up and keep posting, you inspire us with accomplishments like that.

Off to the gym now for cardio and upper body work.

Til next time...

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

I started week 2 of this particular group yesterday. I added another half mile on the treadmill today. :)

...and when they lifted up their voice...and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

I finally figured out how to use my heart rate monitor (sort of) and was pleased to see how I could control the elevated rate and see when I was coming back into resting range. This should help with any interval walking I do.

Hello All,

Today is Day 2 of "Mash-Up Week" and it's going so well, I just can't believe it. I feel like when I first started working out sooooooooo long ago, with all the enthusiasm and I'm just doing the basics of what I've been doing all along, only mixing it up. Keeps my heart rate elevated also, which is a good thing.

Hope all are doing well and getting your workouts in. How is everything going? Remember, every step forward counts...

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

PurpleGirl22,

Everyone needs variety. Great idea what you're planning on doing. Let us know how it's going.

For me, today starts a "mash-up week" for me and I'm going to change up my workout routines to see how they work for me this week. I'll let you know next Sunday. I do this about every 3-4 weeks to keep from getting "bored" with my workouts. That seems to be one of the biggest problems with exercising, short of finding the time.

Til next time,

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

emoticon I have no inside equipment for walking, so I totally recommend adding the outside walking. Good going!

Proud of the achievements that I made last week. I aim to add a little more challenge to my overall routine. I think that I will start to incorporate the outdoors and walk outside or do calisthenics outside. Just need some variety.
