What kind of animals do you have? I hope it's nothing too serious!!!

I just spent $1300+ 2 weeks ago between 2 of our beasties - blood work, chest x-rays and dental surgery with extractions for the younger fellow, and a badly sprained toe on the old guy. They are both finding all this horribly frigid weather we've been having lately, hard to deal with.

I'm not making great strides today. Feeling badly because one of the animals in my barn is not well. I will just be able to squeeze in 10 min tonight.

Thanks Dwayne!
Most of it's just walking, and not always very quickly compared to others,,,,, BUT when I look at where I was about 10 years ago?

Well that shines a whole new light on things! Back then I had to use a cane, and couldn't walk more than a few steps without having to get off my feet because of leg pain, or lack of breath. I wouldn't have thought of going to Costco or even just a regular sized grocery store without having someone with me to do all the shopping for me.

Way to go Kathy...that is so AMAZING! Keep posting as you're a great inspiration with that kind of workout and what you're doing and for how long. Truly AWESOME!

I'm off to the gym now for some cardio work; not doing any machines. Giving the body a break since it's been 2++ weeks since I've done this.

Take care all.

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

Kathy, here's the plan for week 2. emoticon

Week 2 of 4

Go to the Challenge Now!
The 10-Minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge
Sneak more exercise into your busy days.

Last week, you learned how short workouts can be just as effective as longer ones, and jumped right in to your daily 10-minute workout routine. This week, we'll expand our definition of "workouts" so you can come up with fun and interesting new ways to add exercise to your day—even when you feel like you're too busy to put on your sneakers or hit the gym.

There's a saying that goes, "Someone who is busier than you is exercising right now." To commit to this challenge—and a fit lifestyle in general—you have to be creative. We'll help you come up with some easy exercises you can add to your busy days so you can stick with the challenge and reach your goals no matter what life throws at you. Let's get started!

Week 2 Action Plan
Discover 30 ways to add more activity to your days. Pick at least two activities from our list that you can incorporate into your lifestyle this week.

Sneak it in and tone up! We'll show you how to squeeze in 10 minutes while shopping, cleaning the house, working, and even watching TV!

Reflect. At the end of the week, share the creative ways you added exercise to your days and how well you're doing with the challenge in our Week 2 forum.

I appreciate that, Thanks!

I am embarrassed to say that I pretty much just gave up on doing any more than keeping track on my own, and haven't even bothered trying to get through to the challenge itself. Life has really gotten in the way of things for me in the last 3 - 4 weeks, which means I've been doing my best to keep things as simple as I can.....

Hi NOTSOFATME, Trying going to the "My Trackers" on the tool bar > open up the "web search" at the bottom of the drop down menu. Then in the upper center of the web search you'll see a Google Search area; type in SparkPeople Action Plans and you should get what you need or be going in the right direction. Hope this helps...

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

I had the same problem. Although I still did my best to keep up with the daily challenge, I think I would have done much better if I'd been able to figure out where to go for the updates, emails, etc.

Sadly, I just more or less gave up on trying to figure it out.

I hope you have success with this!
GOOD LICK!!
