I wish I could do that. Actually though I can not eat as much any more from anywhere. When we get pizza I used to eat 4 or 5 slices. Now I can only eat 2 at the most.

Wow, yesterday I had a parent conference meeting at my sons school. Usually after a meeting so long I tend to just stop by a fast food restaurant to buy something quick so that I don't have to rush making dinner. BUT, yesterday I DID NOT STOP emoticon I drove right by the three potential possibilities of emoticon emoticon emoticon . emoticon emoticon

I exercise three time a day because my medicine causes me to gain weight. What keeps me going is remembering that I once couldn't tie my own shoes. I have given my car away and now I walk to get around. I will take the stairs and walk the longer route to my destination.

Patience. Balance. Moderation.

I have done pretty good. I have at least walked for 10 to 15 minutes a day. The only day I do not is Wed. My son goes to therapy. I am going to add some upper body and abs. I can not do anything with lower body until I know what is wrong with my knee.

emoticon I have been able to hold myself accountable for my 10-minute daily exercise streak challenge. There has been moments where I'm about to not get up and work out (like this morning) but, then I remember how good it feels to finally fit into some of those pants that where just sitting in the closet waiting to be worn again. emoticon

I have been able to sneak in more activity by parking farther away anytime and place that I can. I've also been taking the stairs at work frequently and keeping moving - I've not been sitting down for as much as I used to.

Amazingly, this week I ended up having an hour everyday to do my usual exercise. However,I seem to be on a plateau and getting discouraged. If there is a day when I only have 10 minutes to exercise I know I can do that much instead of giving up all together with my old "all or nothing" thinking.

I reflect today on how my body, after one month, is finally accepting that I am making permanent lifestyle changes. I look forward to seeing improvements in my mind and body that are consistent with my goals.

I am finding it easier to stay consistent too! This 10 minute challenge is really helping me. Who doesn't have 10 minutes? I think it is really helping me establish a routine and it is starting to become a habit which I don't have to fight.

Some days I chose to have lunch in my car. Usually eating inside, but the walk to the car gives me some steps. Before heading back into the office, I would walk around the building, which is about a 12 min walk. Also purposely walking to the restroom on the other side of the floor. My daily goal is 8,000 steps. I get there most days.

I chose to wash dishes by hand and wear a pedometer as my 2 creative ways to add more movement to my days. I've done it and it's gone emoticon I've washed dishes by hand all by myself this week and I've even loved it! My self-esteem is soaring! I feel like "a real wife", defined as "help mate" in the bible!, We don't have many dishes, not even now since I'm just started cooking SparkRecipes for lunch, but it's real progress for me, a disabled Vet (my DH usually does them)

I've gotten in over 2000 steps 5 days, even though I only walk MWF. Otherwise, I am pretty sedentary sitting at the computer all day. The pedometer DID NOT encourage me to take more steps as its intended. I do like wearing it though and I like to see my steps taken, especially when I meet my small goal of 2000 steps a day! Today's steps taken are 3438! emoticon

I also chose a 3rd creative way to be more active this week: Add movement at the beginning of the day while still in bed like sit ups, leg lifts, etc. I did terrible! I actually forgot is was a goal and did none of it!

So, I think all-in-all this 2nd week of my challenge has been emoticon Ready for week 3!

I believe that I have a good rhythm going for me; I also believe I could kick it up a notch, but my SparkTracker is no longer tracking my every move - I've replaced batteries, contacted the help people, but I think it's just worn out, so I've purchased a FitBit, and will see if that does any better. What a lousy excuse. Maybe I'll kick it up a notch before the FitBit gets here. 8-)

My first week I didn't stay on top of things. I didn't do my workouts daily like I should have. Today begins my week 2 and I plan to do better. NO, I WILL do better

finished exercise for the week. Did really well in the exercise department but I think after I finish this challenge I need to do the mindful eating challenge.

After my TRX class, I've been heading over to the gym for about 45 minutes of cardio. Hopefully, the weather will finally get nice enough for me to walk outside. The treadmill can get very boring.
