Hi Bill,

As long as it is functioning properly other than the display, I don't see why you couldn't just time yourself. Anything that gets you moving will help, I think. But be careful because you won't be able to see how high the resistance is set for. You might pull something if it is too high.

I have an old elliptical that no longer has a functional display panel. It was just gathering dust. I can't afford a new one right now and it would be very expensive to fix this one. Can I still make practical use of it by just timing myself on it?
