Andi,

That's all you have to do, is "JUST DO IT!" And, yes, your mind will be more alert and your body will feel STUPENDOUS! I know, because I've been there, and it's a WONDERFUL feeling!

Week one goal is to just do it! And in the process remind myself of how much more alert my mind and body feel all day after I sweat a bit.

Queen,

Please be very careful in what you do, as you rehab that knee. It's okay to exercise and use the knee, but be mindful of our pain level and don't push it too hard.

Amil,

You're ahead of the game, as you have a solid plan written down, and the Word of God, says to write it down and make it plain. You go, Girl!

Janie,

You're right here working with the rest of us! We all falter and you're doing the right thing in getting started, by taking up where you left off.

Blessings!

My week 1 plan is to get back into a good workout routine, watch what I eat and try to prep my meals so I have healthy options readily available.

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

Strive for progress, not perfection.

My first week goal is to get back into a routine. The last few years have been hell and I have the weight to show it. I had knee sugery that was supposed be a "the easiest surgery you could have." Although the surgery was easy, I am still in quite a bit of pain so I am trying to rehab my knee, lose the weight and strength my muscles as I am not getting any younger.

Week 1 goal - walk on the treadmill for 10 mins. plus some 1 strength exercise a day, emoticon

The struggle you're in today is developing the strenght you need for tomorrow.

yes , my fat came back plus 20 lbs......... and the acid reflux was always there - but thought it was part of the COPD - causing coughing and could not breath.... on 40mg nexium 2xs aday - after another attack and did not go to the er - but to my gastric dr.. it has been fine ever since ... when I talked to one of the gastric drs last sat she said to eat a high fiber diet -- but if a flare to go no/barely any fiber ... until it clears then add - low carb 50 a day - no grains - so I make a smoothie with all the extras for breakfast - love veggies eat a lot of those - low carb ones ..

since the flare I have just been eating too much !! and not watching carbs - 100+... just started getting back to doing my walk away videos - trying to do 1 a day at least .

Mine came from being so morbidly obese, and I had acid reflux just continually flowing out of my mouth almost 24/7 and it just seemed to never stop. When I lost the weight the acid reflux went away, but when they did an endoscopy and an colonoscopy on me, they found things that I had no idea what they were. I looked them up under the Mayo Clinic, to try and educate myself. I was put back on acid reflux medication, which I fought hard to get off of. At least this time around I only take it 2 times a day and not 4. The divers came with that and I wasn't told to do anything at all an I didn't bother to look it up under Mayo. I guess I should go and look it up. I'm just so tried of having to look at that site. My mom also had divers, and she suffered to with hers, she didn't eat certain things, so I'll have to do some research and find out what is what.

Blessings!

they say to eat a high fiber diet -- is that what you do , do not want this again ... so sorry you have it - my mother had it but I do not remember her saying anything about a flare up .. it was a shock at the pain ... knew I have it from colonoscopy years ago..

LFE,

You're starting to get the idea! Yes, you do need to start somewhere and 10 minutes, is 10 minutes! You GO, GIRL! You've got this. Once you start out, your body will starting changing for the better, and it will CRAVE more movement/exercise, and you'll be delighted to give into that feeling and know that it's the right thing to do. Keep a gym bag in your car, at all times, as you never know when it will strike you!

Blessings!

My week 1 goal is just to get back into the habit of moving. I changed jobs at the beginning of the year to a much more sedentary role and then moved in with my fiance into a new house that is 45+ min from work. I want to go to the gym, yet everyday I find myself saying "I'm too tired", "It's too late," "It's too early", "I'll go tomorrow".

Well...tomorrow is today! I know that I will not succeed if I keep trying to go from 0-60 over night. If I make a few small changes today I can build on those every day, week, and month until I get myself back in the habit of including exercise in my life regularly.
