Dwayne,

Didn't you know that this is my official name: Nancy "Cheerleader" Jean? emoticon With that being said, WHY are you beating yourself up, when you're telling others not too.? Hmmm... If you haven't noticed this with you, this is what happens with me, when I beat myself up. I get more down in the rut than ever before and I GAIN even MORE weight, and it's so hard to get out of what is now a deep well, and I know I need help getting out of the well. Sometimes it's an actual person here, or just some encouraging words I see here in SP Land. So, Dwayne, I'm extending a ladder down to you, to get you out of the well, and I'll extend my hand when you're within reach!

Blessings!

Nancy Jean, you are the "OFFICIAL CHEERLEADER" for this group! You're always pumped and giving such great advice and help.

TRYINGHARD54; Don't get too serious on yourself. Have fun, do all you can every day, then the next day just try to do 1 more step, or 1 more rep of an exercise. It all counts and works toward your goals.

MRSFERGU; I'd say if you have stairs in your home, try what Coach Nicole has said in a challenge; every time you have to go up or down the stairs, do it 2 times. If that's too hard at first, try just doing 1 extra climb in the AM then maybe 1 in the PM. Also, like Nancy posted, there's some great videos on Spark for legs, upper body, core...everything.

With that I'm off to the gym for such much needed exercise; cardio and upper body today.
Been really bad the past 2 days and beating myself up over it; and it's also showing on the scale...

Til next time

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

Lucy,

emoticon you do have a goal and it's just a continuation of your healthy lifestyle change journey! You're not starting again, because I'm sure you still moved. Maybe not the consecutive 10 minutes that SP requires for a workout, but you moved. You did grocery shopping, ran after kids or grandkids, vacuumed the house, did dishes, made the beds, and even did laundry. You moved, you never stopped trying, and even though it wasn't a consecutive 10 minutes, it burned calories. God had a game plan for you all along, and you're just now growing into it!

Blessings!

Great to hear so many stories of people coming back. It does feel good to workout once you get in the routine.

For me I missed my 1st gym workout of the year yesterday. 170 straight days; and I feel like it really took something away from me. So now I start a new streak!

Til next time...

Carpe Diem,
Dwayne

Yup! I am starting over again! I got to get past this inertia! I need to exercise - I tell myself, I want to exercise, BUT I do not start! To me, I think inertia means fear of change. I know change does not mean an improvement in my appearance to others. I know change will make me feel more vitality and energy. --- that will be my goal. Weight loss with increased physical strength will give my body more vitality-- love of life and more energy to enjoy my daily life ( whatever it brings)! thanks for being here

Nana,

Girl, it's so good to have you return home! But, you're not starting again, as you did some movement, taking care of grand's doing laundry, dishes, housework, grocery shopping, and just walking through the house, are all forms of exercise, which counts, but you just need to string those minutes together, to get credit here in SP Land. You've never stopped, you've never given up, so you're just continuing your new lifestyle change journey.

Blessings!

I know I can do it for sure this time. I will have ALL of you. I've been on here for a while just have not been able to get my butt in gear. Plan on doing that this time. In fact I just did upper body.
