OK so this has been a lesson in flexibility while still focusing on your goals. I had a good plan, but I'm having to make some adjustments.

My kid asked if he could walk the dog before school, so I said I'd be willing to walk her in the evening. He asked if he could walk with me, so I wasn't about to turn that down. When we got home he asked if we could walk together every night. I love this idea - spending time with him and he helps keep me motivated!

I realized after this my legs were too wobbly to ride my bike right after. So now I'm switching things around, making time for my bike riding in the morning so I can get in my walk with him in the evening.

It's a win-win-WIN situation all around.

I like the idea of practicing Duolingo while walking on the treadmill. One of my retirement goals was to use Duolingo to learn Spanish, but I worked on it a little while and haven't gotten back to it. I will try doing it while walking on the treadmill!

Wise choices each day will get me where I want to be.

Take to heart what Nancy Jean says, but I bet she knows what I am going to say.

Make it fun so that you want to do it. That has kept me going for nearly three years now.

Belle,

I love your goals! A goal doesn't have to be about drinking water, losing weight, or sleeping the right amount of hours. That's the beauty of SP Land! You can make whatever goal your little heart desires, and when you complete it, or not, post on the boards so that others have the opportunity to give you a hand up! It's all GOLD! So get to walking your dog!!!

Blessings!

Thank you! I wanted to keep my goals small and kind of in-line with what I'm already doing, so I can give myself credit for the good habits I already have, and keep them up. This challenge is good for that.

This is my first post, first challenge, first everything so I hope I am posting correctly. I like this challenge because it is manageable and achievable for me. My goal for this challenge is two parts.

My first part of this goal will be to walk my dog for 10 minutes in the morning and to keep my feet moving even if the dog stops to sniff. I want to have the walk be a continuous activity instead of lots of stops and starts.

My second part of this goal is to ride my exercise bike for 10 minutes every evening while I practice my Duolingo Spanish on my Kindle. I feel like linking the two together might keep me from forgoing one or the other.
