You go ahead and have those moments of "Screaming Like A Banshee"...it does a body good. I know sometimes when I'm driving and someone does something "LESS THAN BRILLIANT and I start to get upset...I just scream at the top of my lungs, in my car with the windows up and not directed at anyone, for about 10 seconds...ahh, the relief.

You are one fine young lady for all you're doing for the children and your husband. He is truly blessed and I'd bet anything, he knows that. So are the students you're helping. You just "Keep On Truckin' "

I don't know what an ED student is, but dealing with anyone, especially a spouse that has PTSD is exhausting and for you to take care of him, shows how much you love him and are committed to him! God bless you, for taking care of the least of these.

It's a combination. I am coming down with something. Life is rough right now at work and home. Dealing with ED students all day and a husband with PTSD is exhausting.

But I keep on trucking on. Even when I lose it now and then and act like a screaming banshee.

Hello all,

1st off: OKGOATGAL, Hope you're doing better? Maybe you should cut back a bit on the workouts. I've found in the past a few days of doing about 1/2 what I'd normally do helped a lot. Or is it, like Nancy said, just life keeping you so busy you can't think? We're all here for you and prayers are coming your way.

Nancy, so glad to hear you're back on the mend and just "rippin' it up" working out and walking with an oxygyen tank on your back no less. You go!

Got in 45 minutes of cardio and 65+ minutes of lower body work today.

Everyone, have a great week-end and keep on posting...you inspire me so much.

I saw the surgeon that did the first part of my surgery today, and I asked her, once again, if I could put my 15 lb. oxygen tank on my back and go outside and walk. She told me today that I could do anything I wanted to do, and so, by God's Grace, I got that tank on my back, and my nurse and I went outside and I walked/jogged 1.20 miles in 20 minutes. I though that was pretty good, being on uneven terrain and sporting and extra 15 lbs. It felt ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!! I called my mom an let her know that when she gets back into town, and rests up, that we're going walking, since I'm able to do that now! I'm just so EXCITED!!!

Today was a great day for me in along time. It was so nice outside that I just walked and walked. Walked 10 miles today. But the heat got me a little.

Goatgal,

It's okay, as there are some days that I feel the same way. We really need to listen to our bodies and you're trying the best that you know how, and that's good, as you're doing something! Even if you don't get a formal workout in, you're still moving and getting steps in and that still counts, as you're moving! As long as you move something, anything, even in a chair exercise, that can be logged on to SP, it's all GOLD! Have you checked out their videos? They range from 5 minutes to about an hour and a half!

I'm not trying hard enough. But I am beginning to march in place if I know I don't have at least 6000 steps by 8pm. Some days I'm just to exhausted mentally, physically, and emotionally to get in a formal workout. And I hate that.

Hello All,

Got in 45 minutes of cardio and 60+ minutes of lower body work today. My new routine is really keeping me sweating...I'm liking it a lot, makes me feel like I'm just starting with the enthusiasm it's given me.

Richard,

I was on Tramadol, but after being on it for 6 months and it did nothing for me, and then all of a sudden they made it a controlled substance in the VA system, which meant that it would be dispensed differently, I chose not to take it. My dad is the one who told me to go to the grocery store and they the Tylenol and by golly it worked! I'm trying as hard as I can to get off ALL of my prescription medications. I've come down from 65 different meds a day to 8 different meds a day. I just have to say God bless the doctor that finally realized I was being poisoned and she weaned me off of all but 12 by the time I got out of the hospital and because of the weight still coming off and getting God's Temple fit, it's down to 8. Thank You, GOD!!!

Way to go on your committment That's amazing. I've got Psoriatic arthritis so I don't think it bothers me as much, but I'm going to see if any of my meds I'm taking now are for it. If not I may try Aleve when it acts up.

Got in 45 minutes of cardio and 50 minutes of upper body work today.

That's AMAZING! Good for you, overcoming your arthritis pain. For my arthritis pain, I take arthritic strength Tylenol for times a day and it does wonders for me. If you're not on a prescription drug, you might want to look into that.

I did it! Completed week one - at least 10 minutes each day. Some days were small 5 minute walks during work, some days were nice long 45 minutes. Forgot how much I like having the chance to zone out while walking the treadmill.
Looking forward to week two starting today!
