I have some yoga dvds and I could get some more. but anyways, I'll look into it again. I really do like it, but only after a decent warm-up.

I was going to suggest Yoga. emoticon
There are MANY different styles out there. Just browse a book store or library. I'm 59 so I do Yoga for Seniors. the pose's are very easy, and after 10 minutes I really feel ready for the day!

There is a Yoga style to help people with many different limiting concerns. emoticon

I also felt stiff and recently tried Rodney Yee's Power Yoga I think it was too advanced for me, but I'd be willing to try a beginner yoga dvd since I felt much better the next day. Good luck!

Try the old school calesthenics(spelling)remember gym classes???....Just simple stretching should limber you up.

I used to love pilates, but I can't do it anymore. Partly because I have a swayed back and it hurts to lay on it for too long. and also, I have diastasis, and lying down, makes it worse, like stomach exercsises leiing down. so I have special stomach exercises I do, like from "Lose your mummy tummy". its a really good book.

Take some time to just move and stretch. I do a lot of stretching in bed before I get up. Once you get up, just kind of let your arms shake and shake out your legs. Kind of just *gyrate* the body in a snake like motion. It will help loosen it up.

Start slow and do what is comfortable for you.
weather it's walking or dancing ,hand weights or resistance bands. Even a sitting workout is more than doing nothing. What about pilates?

anyone have advice for getting in my exercise with a very stiff body? I would love the advice. my body is stiff, so sometimes when I exercise - I am very worse for the wear the very next day.

any ideas please?
