My goal is to get consistent with my workouts. As long as I can workout, I can lose weight, but it is when life gets in the way and I don't work out consistently that I have problems. So I am aiming to work out for 14 days straight, starting today, for at least 10 minutes. emoticon

When did I get SO out of shape? I joined this challenge, because I need a small goal to get me moving. I forced myself to get on the treadmill and those 10 minutes seemed like an hour! What an eye opener! This challenge is obviously a perfect place to begin!

My name is Dixie. I am joining this team now for the second and last time. My goals are:
1.) exercise for 10 minutes on the wii fit plus everyday when I get up
2.) track all my food, water, fitness, and other goals everyday
3.) loose anywhere from 0.1-2.0 pounds per week

When I get home from work - I'm going to do my 10 minutes of something.... maybe I'll break out one of those wonderful Dance exercise dvds I have bought that have been collecting dust.... emoticon

The weather is getting warmer and my diet is starting to stall. I am going to do this challenge!

10 minutes a day for a month? Heck yea, I think I can do that!

This is just the challenge I need. Lately I've been putting off my runs or workouts. I can find every excuse in the book- "I feel a headache coming on," "I've still got this cold, so I'll workout tomorrow if I'm feeling better," "I didn't have an afternoon snack so I feel kinda dizzy- I shouldn't push myself," "I had a good run yesterday so today is my rest day," "I just ate so I should digest," etc.

Of course, rest days are needed- but that's no reason to go for a walk or a bike ride and do some much needed outdoor activity.

I digress, if I can't commit to 10 minutes a day, then that's a pretty sad state. Count me in for this challenge- I gotta get my butt in gear and stop with my excuses.

I am getting familiar with sparkpeople program and different groups. I have been working out 2 days a week at gym and have lost about 20 pounds. I need to do more but some days I have trouble with physical issues after those harder days. My motivation is waning so this looked good. Maybe the shorter burst will be more manageable on my off days. Not easier but more manageable.

this is my first day and week and even now I have not done any 10min exercise.....I am SO LAZY!!.....and now due to my menses (coming soon...) Im craving!........I am so LAZY!!!!.......I make excuses.tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow NEVER COMES!!!............. DO I WANT TO CHANGE? OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!.......thats why I am here!.......but after school and 2 toddlers.I am tired and then "tomorrow" feeling comes!.......I need to change as the self hatred spirit is getting worse and the "ur a failure, ur worthless, u will never succeed" spirit is too much in control now.......I am losing my identity.........I NEED TO FIND ME!!...I AM TOO BEAUTIFUL, UNIQUE, and have SO MUCH ABILITY for me to be LOST!...................(sigh).........so will I get the strength to fight al those negative spirit I want to and thats y I am here...............God bless

My goal is to get into an exercising habit. The type where your body begs you to go when you're not in the mood. I've been there before and I'd want to go back.

I believe this challenge will help to motivate and keep me accountable.

I have decided i want to be a more active mom. I want to actively "play" with my daughter for at least 60 min of the day. I know it's more than 10 but I'm not running on a treadmill and I want to make sure my daughter gets her play 60 in. Anyway this will ensure that i focus on that goal and really help my family.

I'm not good about consistently exercising. I tend to make exercise goals and do them for a while and then quit. I decided to (1) find a form of exercise that is fun for me, and (2) devote myself to performing this exercise. 10 minutes sounds like something I can commit to. Mostly my goal is 10 minutes of dancing every day, however, if I do ten minutes of another form of exercise, thats great.

About 10 days ago (yep, I am a newbie to daily exercise) my daughter challenged me to exercise with her every day for a month. We are planning a vacation at the end of April and she wants to look good on the beach. I know I have a long way to go to look good in a bathing suit, but I have to start somewhere. I have been frustrated because I exercised faithfully evey morning for a week and did not see the scale move even a half a pound...but I haven't given up. Just means I need to try harder and figure out what I am doing to make my weight loss so difficult.

I made it through week one!! Between Wii Fit Plus on bad weather days and walking on good days I did it!! Considering I've been mostly immobile for about 6 months this is huge progress for me.

Since starting I've done 10 min each day I intended to. Today I'm doing Power Yoga for an hour! Tomorrow is the bigger challenge since I work most of the day...I would like to use the 10 min to lift some weights and do push ups...that's right push ups!

My goal for this challenge is to make 10 minutes a day my *minimum* and try to do more than that every day. i'm sleepy and groggy a lot, and exercise is supposed to help that, not to mention a million other things.

Hi I am newbie emoticon my goals are to get fit. I want to be able to run 3 ten minute miles by July. Also to get into my skinny jeans and be comfy in a size ten within a year. Goal 1: Exercise at least 10 minutes a day. I enjoy walking, yoga, and dancing.
Goal 2: Track all food eaten regardless of what it is or how many calories it is worth. I will often skip tracking if I feel like I've had a "bad" day.
Goal 3: Read something motivational everyday. I need as much encouragement as I can get.

I want to move more, eat better, track it all, drink my waters and come back daily !!
I have fibromyalgia and can't do as much as some, but I intend to do what I can and be proud of it and build on it.
15 mins of moving -- whether it be walking, dancing, work out, or just a stretch and be happy about it day.....every day, even the bad ones. I will just have to adjust what that movement might be, and I can live with that!!

even a step back isn't failure as long as you are still facing the direction of your goal.

I have made a commitment to myself to do at least 30 mins of Cardio and day and strength training every other day. I have started to take the stairs at work whenever possible and I love the feeling I get knowing that even walking up and down the stairs just a few times a day will make a difference..I am so excited about my future and I can't wait to see what it looks like

I WILL BE RETURNING TO SCHOOL TOMORROW AFTER A VERY NICE SPRING BREAK. MY GOAL IS TO GET UP EVERY MORNING 15 MINUTES EARLY AND WALK ON MY TREADMILL FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE SHOWERING AND GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL. MY GOAL IS TO CONTINUE DOING THIS UNTIL THE END OF SCHOOL WHICH IS 9 WEEKS AWAY. I HAVE DONE ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE ELSE. IT'S TIME TO TAKE CARE OF ME. I AM SEEING PROGRESS AND I LOVE HOW IT FEELS!!!!

Since I already exercise quite a bit (dance 3 x week, yoga 2-3 x week, weight training 2 x week, swim 2-4 x week) I've adjusted to that, so I want to add 10 min/day of either walking (which still helps me more than even intense cardio) or additional high-energy time in my normal exercises.

I'm excited to join this challenge! My goal for this challenge is to be active, at least a little bit, everyday. I usually go to the gym roughly 4 times a week and spend about 45 minutes on the treadmill or the elliptical. I want to increase the time I exercise, and I figure that starting off by doing a very reasonable 10 minutes at home on my "off days" from the gym is a great and simple way to start doing just that!

This week my goal is to fit in 10-20 minutes of cardio a day whether it is walking the dog or hula hooping on the wii. I also want to do three sets of 15 push-ups, sit-ups, and tricep dips and do a workout video at least once this week!

Moreover, I want to stay on top of things at school during my spring break while balancing more hours at work!

Goals: Cardio for 60 minutes 4-5 times a week, P90X yoga at a minimum of 2 times a week, and ruck with at least carrying 20-25 pounds 3-4 times a week. I think this will most definitely reach the challenge. Wish me luck. :)
