My overall goal is to move down the scale to a healthy weight... and I plan to get there by making small, manageable steps.

My first step is to exercise at least 10 minutes every day. I hope to exercise more than 10 minutes MOST days, but if all else fails, at least walk my dog for 10 minutes. emoticon

Main goal is to actually keep my new year resolutions, & one of them is to make exercise a daily thing. Second main goal is to lose weight & get healthier, which means exercise daily. Hopefully being in this group will motivate me to stick with it this time.

My goal is to consistently exercise. I joined SP months ago, but only read the messages/articles etc. I need to get off my butt and start exercising and watching what I eat. I think this challenge will help get me started.

Best wishes everyone.

I usually incorporate at least 10 minutes during the day, but need to commit to it more firmly. In addition, I need to include a stretching session every day. So, two 10 minute efforts!

I'm new here, I already have a good fitness routine but I'm looking to bump it up a bit. I do almost all of my workout in the morning, so 10 minutes in the afternoon or evening every day is what I'm setting as my goal.

I just want to commit to any kind of exercise, at least 10 minutes a day. I've done this on my own in the past and most of the time I will continue after the 10 minutes are up because it feels so good. I started Xmas day with the goal to exercise at least 10 minutes a day for 365 days.

I liked the idea of adding 10 mins to my current level of activity (water aerobics and walking my cats). I have to start somewhere. I plan to take the long way around my block to my community's mail room each day.......it should be just exactly 10 minutes.

I have gotten off track with the holidays and family home so this will get me back ON TRACK! I will do 10 minutes of cardio using exercise TV or get to the gym every day this week (Monday to Sunday) and will track my food every day. (Snow shoveling MAY be used for cardio--depends on how fast we get dug out!)

Hi everyone...

So, I not new to dieting and exercising, i just don't have the consistency I need to achieve my goals. I'm starting over, but differently, no big impossible goals ( no aerobics for 60 minutes). I think this team will allow me to build momentum to help achieve my goals.

- exercise for 10 minutes a day, with sparkpeople videos.

Setting a 12 week goal. The small 10 minute daily exercise will help me start out on a good food to hopefully create a habit. I have a gym schedule, but on the days that I can't make it to the gym, I still need to do at least 10 minutes of something else at home. That is my main problem. I think if I'm not working out at the gym, I'm not working out. Goal is to change that thinking and learn that I can get a work out in anywhere.

My challenge goals during this beautiful thing called a Minnesota winter are to walk the halls of my apartment building for 10 minutes daily and take the steps that are at each end. The building is 1/3 of a mile long when walked, so I should start covering some distance doing this. Probably will do more daily once I actually get my butt moving. That is my REAL problem!! I'm attempting to incorporate exercise back into my healthy living mindset without losing the healthy eating. I tend to have trouble sticking to both and perhaps 10 minutes per day will be just the ticket to make it all click. I also plan to keep up with my goal to do 100+ crunches and 20+ push-ups daily...

Hi everyone!

My goals for this challenge are pretty simple... a minimum of 10 minutes of exericse every day of the week. Once I get going for about 10 minutes, I generally keep going so I hope to get more actual exercise than 10 minutes/day, but on some days I am going to let the minimum be ok too.

I'll do most of my exercise by walking, but am also supposed to start PX90 with my boyfriend after the year!

Good luck to everyone!

My goal is to actually DO 10 minutes of exercise (probably walking for the most part to get back in the routine and not get my fibro going) EVERY single day, no matter what, NO EXCUSES!
I want to get a streak started in this 4 week challenge and keep it going until my 40th birthday in May. And by then, I'll be doing so well, I will hopefully just naturally keep it going :)

I am so out of shape and unmotivated! My goal is small - I want to do at least 10 minutes everyday (except Sunday - I get a break) of walking or other cardio. I'll up it as the habit builds. I also want to do 10 minutes of strength exercises 3x a week. Those are my goals - and I'm sticking to them!

I like the idea of this challenge because I am & have always been an "all or nothing" type of girl. I have a habit of not even starting to exercise if I don't have at least a half hour to do so. This is BAD!!! 10 minutes of exercise is EXERCISE... & it's definitely way better than not exercising at all when I don't have a half hour! That is my goal... to be a bit less harsh on my definitions of what is successful exercising. I hope this team will motivate me to do that!

It's not a diet... It's life.

I am going to exercise for 10-minutes a day by dancing or should I say cardio/dancing? I am also going to continue drinking 8 to 9 cups of water daily, which I have been doing very good at.

Echo...Echo... My goal too is to exercise at least 10 min/day and 6x/wk to feel healthier and gain more energy. I too slip back into my old ways way too quickly. I am just starting out so this should put me off to a good start.
