I just measured myself for the first time in months, and it was not good :(

I am determined to get fitness back into my life so my clothes can fit me again. My solution: a hula hoop and a mini trampoline. They are both really fun! I am learning how to hula hoop, but on day 3 of hooping I can now keep it up for more than 2 seconds!

I just received the trampoline today (Thanks, Amazon!) and it is FUN. Jumping is easy, it is small enough to do while watching TV and it is exhausting. I have done 10 mins combined hoop/trampoline so far today but I think I'll be jumping some more in a little bit. Here's to healthy change!

Good Luck to you! You can do it! Just keep trying! I did the same thing; lost the weight and then put it back on with extra weight! Depressing, but I am trying again!

So I just rejoined. I got lazy and now I have gained back the 30 pounds I lost and 10 more. I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and the doc just doubled my meds. I have a fear of being diabetic. My goal is to drop the weight to be healthy. I want to get off the meds.
I will do 10 minutes of exersize every day. I actually got on here this morning and found a great yogalites video. It was 20 minutes. Its a great video and something I hope to do everyday along with something else. I like using the videos here because they are easier to track. Good luck everyone. I hope to chat with you all and keep each other motivated.

Just joined tonight so I'll start in the morning. I intend on walking at least 10 minutes one way so it will be a total of 20 minutes! Anyone out there in the process of losing or have lost 100+ pounds. Would love to have some great motivation and guidance!

In this challenge I'm on day two. I am doing ten min of walking uphill on my home treadmill!! I have a gym membership, but in the last few months, I knew that going to the gym was probably going to be a hour workout, after which I would be too sore to go again for a few days. It seems a waste to go to the gym and do just a short workout, so I just didn't go at all.

SO, My GOAL for the challenge is to do the ten min daily streak which I am hoping to increase up to 30 min before the end of the month challenge. THEN start going to the gym for about a 30 min workout doing ST, and on the off days do treadmill at home.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. So I decided to join the 10 minute daily streak challenge, I have fallen off the wagon and it is time to get back on. So here I am to set some goals.

1. 10 minutes of cardio per day, lets see how long I can keep a streak going!
,

2. Drink 64 ounces of water per day!

3. Log my meals, at least once a day and get back to carb counting.

4. Eat at least 3 serving of fruits and vegatables.

5. This is a 30 day challenge, so at the end I would like to lose at least 5 lbs.

Wish me luck...

Happy Sparking

Hello, fellow streakers!!!

I actually started a 10-minute daily exercise streak 2 weeks ago, but I forgot to post my goals here! My main goal is to exercise consistently, so I'm fitting in at least 10 minutes of cardio every single day. I'm currently on day 16 of my streak, and I'm very happy to say that I've only done the minimum 10 minutes on 1 out of all 16 days; once I get started, I usually want to keep going!

I do eventually want to strength train consistently as well, but I'm trying to take one step at a time. Once cardio becomes a true habit, I'm going to make sure strength training does too.

Gym for elliptical use 2x, walk in neighborhood 2x and fit in a walk at work 1 time. That's my goal for week one.
I will be without electronic access for part of June. Does that mean I "restart" my challenge after I am back "on-line?" emoticon

I completed this 4 week challenge about a year ago, but quickly fell back into bad habits after it finished. This time I have a few more goals to hopefully make it last a lot longer. I have a 4 day exercise streak going at the moment, and I really hope I can keep it going!

My goal is to start and keep a fitness routine I can stick to. My plan is to do a 1 mile walk 3x a week either outside with my 4 yr old while he rides his bike or with a walking dvd or my walk it out for the Wii as well as doing a 10 min. sp exercise video the other days of the week. Evenually I would like to include some strength training to the days I am doing the 10 mins.

I want to gently bounce on the rebounder for 10 - 45 minutes every day, get my circulation, heart rate and lymphatic system going again, get more energy, feel more flexible, have an improved sense of well-being, see the results in stronger hair and younger-looking skin, lose a significant amount of weight, overcome this knee pain, and stop feeling like such a prematurely aged wreck - especially when I know better!

I am trying to do at least 10 minutes of exercise every morning. It is so easy to make excuses when you have to try and find 30-45 minutes out of a busy day. This morning I did the 10 minute cardio kickboxing video on SP and it was so easy to fit it in. I just had one less cup of coffee.

I am trying to do small bits of exercise, as I am an all or nothing type of gal. emoticon
I am either doing some long walks, or NOTHING. If I don't have 45 minutes to devote to exercise, then I assume I cannot do anything. (Which with 3 kids, a job, and needing to sleep at night - it is rather common to NOT have the 45 minutes.) Doing 10 min/day x 7 days./week beats 45min x 1x/week. Even better is to combine - do the 10 min/day on the days I have less time, and do the 45 when I have time.... :) Best of both worlds.

My goal is to get 10 minutes of resistance training in every day because that seems to be the one type of exercise I skip a lot. (I'm okay with cardio, but for some reason I lag behind on strength training challenges.)

I'm excited about this challenge!!

My goal is to do 10 minutes a day of something physical for 5 days. I want to swim or at least move in the pool 2x's this week, and do some stretching at least 2x's this week as well. I also want to take at least a 30 seconds day to stop and really note how I'm feeling. I swam/walked in the pool for 10 minutes today already!!!!

I believe I shape my future. Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man's doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice; my responsibility; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny. No excuses..

Of course my goal is to incorporate at least 10 mins of cardio exercise a day. Today, I'm washing my car. That will be at least 30 mins, including vacuuming. Maybe tomorrow I'll do something crazy, like walk on the treadmill at my apts gym :) Have a great day everyone!

I work part-time as an appointment coordinator at a clinic, so I plan to use my 15 minute morning and afternoon breaks to walk. Not only will I get my exercise in, but I'll come back to my desk refreshed. emoticon

Never give up.
I am the only one who can hold me back.

I'm almost finished my Spark Coach trial, and this was recommended.

Right now, I do mostly aerobic type exercises. I'd like my 10 minutes daily challenge to be other types of exercises.

My goal this week is to incorporate 10 minutes of exercise daily. I'm going to start with my shoulder PT exercises. I will do them in the morning after I drop my son off at the school bus stop. As a backup plan, I will also meet my friend there and walk with her. That way, I will get at least 10 minutes in one way or the other. I will do my PT exercises on the weekend, when I don't have the motivation of school.

My goals are to:

1. Make creating a streak and sticking to it a habit
2. Make completing my food tracker a habit
3. Make staying within my calorie range a habit

I began the official 10-minute daily exercise streak challenge today thinking all I had to do is 10 minutes of something and I ended up walking 30 minutes on the treadmill. Day one of the streak completed!

Practice habits of excellence.

Hi evreyone, I'm new here but I exercised all week. I am on strict Doctor's orders to only do exercises in bed. So, I do leg, arms, pelvic, bycicle leg moves, anything I can with being in bed. I cannot walk for long distance, maybe 5 to 10 min at the most. My doctor does not want me to walk yet because of my breathing. I'm a Lung cancer survivor, had 2/3 rds of my right lung removed, the horrible chemo and the degrading hair loss. I was in college when I was diagnosed in 2005 at age 55. I gained all this weight from chemo, but, now its from eating badly. I have been in and out of the hospital this past couple months with testing to see if my cancer came back in the same lung that I have only 1/3 left. All the tests have been inconclusive so I have to wait 2 months to see if the spot grew (cancer) or shrunk (inflammation) so I have about a week or so before I have the CT Scan to see if it returned. In the mean time, I also have COPD, I quit smoking when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2005. But, when you have smoked, you will develop illnesses in the future that smoking has already damaged. I think I said it wrong. lol But I think you get what I'm saying. lol
So, I came back last week, and I am doing great. I exercise faithfully every night and I lost 5 lbs & 20 Sticks Of Butter from My Body. I also had a "No Cheat Weekend * Go Boom *
I have a room with sticks of butter, you loose 4 sticks with 1 lb, 6 sticks with 1 1/2 lbs. etc. Then I have a room with No Cheat Weekend * Go Boom* for when you don't cheat on weekends. It's alot of fun. Now I am here for the exercise. It's awesome.I'm so glad I found this room. I am limited to working out. But I do exercise my whole body in bed for 30 minutes each night. It really helps me. My legs feel better, I am loosing weight. I'm very happy for what I did this week. So, Hi to everyone and I'm happy to be here. SHER
