I joined this challenge to push myself to keep up the exercise streak I've been on this summer.

Goals:
1) To complete the challenge.
2) Within that, to continue to do three arm workouts every week, three abs workouts every week, and two leg workouts every week.
3) To continue to stretch my legs for at least ten minutes every day.

Get outside and do something physical everyday for at least ten minutes. No excuses for hot, humid weather. I can walk, garden, play with grandkids,or do some kind of lawn or car care. Ten minutes is not that long, but it should get me moving.

1) excercise consistantly - I was doing good until vacation & the heat wave. I need motivation to work through those obstacles and not let those "excuses" deter me
2) Eat healthier - I've been lazy lately and eating easy to make foods instead of healthy choices

I want to do this to motivate me to keep doing what I've been doing: going for a walk once or twice a day for between 30 and 60 minutes. If my muscles get sore I just do the morning walk and keep it short :)

My goal is to do 10 min. treadmill walk M-F at 2.5 mph which is .50 mph faster then I have been walking for months

Woops, I thought this was for team members in any week. Sorry. My first week goal was to lose about 4 pounds before 8/14. I have already reached that goal in week 3, weighing in at 138.8 pounds today. Yipee.
My suggestion is to just stick to it. Log all food and exercise. Never give up. This is a life style change, not a diet. Eating a slice of pizza, having a drink (not getting drunk, mind you), having that special dessert is NOT the end of your journey. Food choices are very personal. Food is not the enemy. Over eating is. Each day is a new day. Start making small changes and you will begin to get big results.
Good luck to everyone.

You cant start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.

Today is emoticon . My goals are simple, but I know that's how I can stick with them over the long haul.

1. Do at least 10 minutes of fitness everyday this week (more when I can manage it)

2. Improve my water intake--I used to drink 64+ ounces without any difficulty, but I find myself not drinking or drinking tea during the day. I need to drink more water!

3. NOT spend as much time on the computer--I need it to look for a new job, but I spend a LOT of time on Facebook and playing games. That needs to change. I need to find a way to make it a reward and make it be AFTER I do something more productive!

Well I had wanted to exercise every day, fell off the horse into a very large, very high-caloric pepperoni pizza on Wednesday night...didn't exercise. Started on Monday, so didn't exercise on Sunday either...but ate well and exercised MTTHFSA.

Not bad for the first week. My goal is to improve to 6 days next week...

My goals for week 1 are to walk at least a half mile or garden for an hour every day. The gardening right now is more strenuous but I love it so much that I have trouble knowing when to quit.
Another goal is to limit my wine consumption to 2 glasses a night.
A third goal is to plan my meals ahead rather than post them after the fact.

hello all!

since i'm facing surgery next month and will be laid up for at least 4 wks (and don't want to undo all the good i've done since joining SP) my goal for august is to exercise at least 10 minutes a day. (and to start using my malibu pilates chair that's been collecting dust, lol!)
