I began this streak so as to keep motivated to do my exercises which I have slowly been increasing to 15 min stationary biking and walking daily for 15-30 mins as well as come Thursday am going to restart my yoga and strength traing on Friday.I have to study for my boards on Wednesday but SP has done so much for me ,a proverbial couch potato that i had to say Thank You and post this as well!

Indian standard Time! Now 54 yrs old.Had a Sleeve Gastrectomy and like most of us who have had this survey-it is a welcome surgery and ,howeer a radical lifestyle change-in diet, exercise, evrything.Weight is down by 20 kilos. That is a whole new me but I need to lose a couple of 5 more kilose hopefully due to newly diagnosed psoriatic arthritis.Well here's to all of us ,everybody!I am on a new challenge that
involves decorating the using SPARKPAGE DECORATING & VOTING CONTEST thread as shown.by

Starting again. If I can do just 10 minutes a day, I can build on that to get back to where I was.
1. Stick to exercising every day.
2. Start yoga class.
3. Begin to dance again.
4. Feel happier about myself & my overall health.

Getting re-started. I did well for awhile, but fell off the wagon and gained back the weight I lost. Starting slow, but maybe this will get me back in the habit of exercising.

My goal for this challenge is to exercise, at minimum, 10 minutes every day, through 1/4/12. This will help me to keep my focus during the busy holiday season and to keep losing weight during this time.

I'm just joining and starting with this challenge as I realized I needed something to motivate me. I will start with baby steps just to get back into the swing of things. I will force myself to do 10 minutes of exercise daily everyday for the rest of the month. Considering my schedule with my career and family, I will use this opportunity to kick up my Heavy Cleaning as a form of exercise. This will not only get me ready for the holiday guests, but it will be a good way to get myself back into the swing of things. And a clean house always makes me happy!

My goal is to get through the holiday season without undoing all I have achieved in the last 4 months. Since I know that as I get busier, exercise will be curtailed or eliminated I am challenging myself to continue to do 1 or 2 sessions of 10 minutes every day. That way when things get back to normal next year I won't have to start all over from scratch.

They say that after you do something for 30 days it becomes a habit, well, that is why I joined this challenge. No matter what I do everyday to get some exercise in, I want to do it so it is a habit. I hope that this will help hold me accountable so I can reach my other goals.

My goals are as follows:
1. eat clean for a month
2. exercise both cardio and strength according to my workout plan
3. exercise for 10 additional minutes today to meet the challenge
4. Drink plenty of water each day.

Hello! I am not new to SP, but have not been consistently active. My goal is to change that!! I saw the 10 minute challenge and it piqued my interest. Hey--we can do anything for 10 minutes a day, right? Not too hard at all. I need to get active again, and this challenge will help me do just that! My daughter in law just joined SP today, and that has motivated me to jump in and get involved too. So ,my goal for this week is 10 minutes of day of some type of activity.

My goal is to get back my consistency in exercising. My weekly goals are to loose 1# & 1" per week. I usually do water exercises 3 times a week; that's been on hold temporarily per Drs. orders. I expect to start back the end of next week. I've also been walking anywhere from 1.5 to 3.3 miles depending on my pain level (chronic back pain due to congenital issues). Gardening is a pleasure & great workout, particularly in spring & fall when we're either putting in new plants, shrubs or trees or transplanting the thinned beds. emoticon

I seen this challenge and knew it was just what i needed. I've been losing weight all year and exercising in spurts. I need to be more disciplined in this area. So I will begin with doing 10 minutes every day until I establish a habit. Some days I will try to do more working my way up to 30 minutes a day most days. emoticon

I have a walk Saturday for St Jude's. I think it is only a 2 mile walk, but I haven't walked for several weeks. I need to walk at least 10 minutes every day this. I hope to walk 30 minutes but I'll settle for 10. This challenge is just what I needed.

For the Health of It!: I will commit to changing into exercise clothes upon arriving home from work and biking for 10 minutes (or more) each evening. I will run on weekends. I believe the issue for not completing this task comes from having no energy after supper so if I change as soon as I walk in the door, I won't have an excuse. Good luck to me!

I'm 23 and have been active my entire life until my first job...learning how to balance it has been tough because of the crazy and mixed up hours as an event planner! But I am determined to be active everyday of the week, whether that be waking up for my morning workout or taking the dog for a walk or finally doing that yoga video I purchased a while back. I am having brain surgery in a month and want to be as fit and prepared as I can going into it so the recovery period won't be as difficult!

My goal is simply to get 10 minutes in every day. I already do more than this during the week, walking home from the train, and walking to and from the train to school. It's the days I'm not at school that I backslide, and right now, that's Friday to Sunday.
I've just quit smoking again, and am about 30 pounds overweight.

I commit to 10 minutes of activity each morning. I get to do 4 sets of 12 bridges each and every day.

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.

My goal is to complete the challenge without restarting (again). I haven't been physically active in nearly a year and I don't like the way that I feel. I'm hoping this challenge will give me the boost that I need to get back into my healthy ways and start me on the healthy track to losing my "baby" weight. I have a six week old, so it's way to easy to make excuses not to work out, but ten minutes is such a small time frame that I have to be able to fit it in somewhere. :)

Since April I have been in physical therapy; first following a knee replacement and then for a back injury. I "graduated" from knee replacement therapy on August 25th and injured my back on September 2 so there was just one week without multiple visits to the physical therapist. I'm officially done with PT now.
This goal of 10 minutes of exercise will be so good for me; I really need to move my body and this is the start. I hope to do a variety of exercises and look forward to using Sparkpeople's 10 minute videos.

My goal for this week is to do at least 45 minutes of moderate cardio on three days and walk 10 minutes the other days. I haven't exercised in about 4 months so I am taking it slow.

My goal is simply to start exercising every day, lose some weight and feel better in general.

I just got married last weekend and I when I saw myself in the pictures and video I was appalled. I do not look or feel healthy and I want to make drastic changes. The best way to make these changes permanent is to get started and do a little at a time. I feel that 10 minutes is a very doable commitment.

Cheers to happier, healthier life!

I've had a really good week of exercise, so far I've gotten in 6 days and I think the exercising is making me more mindful of the foods I am putting into my body.
