Although the closet is overwhelming and painful, that is not the reason I didn't get to the closet. Goal 3 consumed all of my time and I didn't even complete it. I need to learn to set smaller goals. I had already been working on the closet. I'm probably 3/4 of the way through. It is overwhelming because I have let it like it is for so long and painful because all of the shelves in the closet is the way my parents left it when they died.

o.k. so what's scary about the closet (or overwhelming or painful or ...)?? Is it something that if you got help with (BF or DH to help) it would go easier or faster or at least get started?

Goal 1 - Met
Goal 2 - I don't think I even went into the closet this weekend.
Goal 3 - I completed 3/4 of this goal.

I only met one goal but this challenge made me get in gear with Goal 3. It is something I have been putting off since last May. emoticon Yeah. I hate to admit it. You would not believe what a relief this is to me. The rest will be a piece of cake. I know I should have stuck to Goal 2 but instead I swept and mopped the kitchen floor then buffed it on my hands and knees. I did the dishes. I washed and dried all of the rugs in the house. I washed and dried the bedding and toys for all four dogs (about 5 loads of laundry.) That's about it for me. I hope to do better on the next challenge.

MlBanks - you did good!!

1 - you made a committment (that's a hard thing to take up a challenge and you did it in writing in front of everyone!)
2 - you got 8 glasses of water 50% of the time
3 - you went to the gym 50% of the time
4 - you reported back

Way to go!! We only grow these good health habits when we work on them!!

I did horrible. Horrible...but I usually do on the weekends.

1) Only got in 8 glasses on Sunday and mostly before 8 pm
2) Only went to the gym on Saturday
3) Didn't eat 2 fruits/vegetables

This was a great challenge. I need to do these for myself every weekend.

I ask for the grace to believe in what I could be and do if I only allowed God, my loving Creator, to continue to create me, guide me and shape me.

Oh my...Whip me with a wet noodle lol. This was my week-end to be out of wack I guess. Usually I walk the dogs 3 to 4 miles. I only got in 1/2 mile each day. Was short on my water, and did very little in my room. Oh well. It's another week.

I think it sounds like you did pretty well this weekend. I too was strong at the beginning and weakened a little toward the end(especially with drinking water and practicing hymns.) The funny thing is though because of my double up on cardio I think I ate more. Oops!

Okay not too bad......

I did drink 8 glasses of water on Saturday and Sunday which was my goal.
I did walk on the treadmill 30 minutes each day and that was my goal.
I stayed within my calorie range each day however, Saturday I did have too much salty food and Sunday I had some cookies (so I was at the HIGH end of the calorie range).....

This was what I set out to do...
1 treadmill both days 40 minutes
2 Do my 15 minutes of exercises in front of TV(something that should be so easy...I just don't do it!)(Its one of my goals)
3 10 Glasses of water each day

I only did the treadmill on Sunday 3.08 miles --40 min. On Saturday I opted to walk/run with Cooper for 40 minutes
Played with my new ellipitcal last night
Water no problem
15 minutes in front of TV only on Sunday....

This challenge is tough for me to do----always good intentions...thats why its called a challenge right???

How Did You Do This Weekend Growing & Stretching Your New Habits??

Here's my report:
1. Drink those pesky 8 glasses of water EACH day. DONE (it was too late on Saturday, but I finished them anyway, knowing I'd be getting up in the middle of the night --- arrgghhh!)
2. Eat out with DH & EAT WITHIN MY CALORIE RANGE
DONE (thank god for Outback!)
3. Make egg mcmuffins for the freezer for next week!
We ran out of eggs - I can't believe that!!! But I have three ready to go for this week, so will end up cerealing for a couple of days ... Oh well ...

I work for a professional association and manage their conventions. So there's some travel involved in various planning meetings, as well as when the actual convention happens. Then I have a 75 mile commute (long story!). I just started in January, so I'm still getting used to that part. The rest I've done for years, so I'm used to that.

I just heard that where I'm going tomorrow is colder than I expected (10 for the high) so now I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to find enough clothes to put on myself!

Well, I'm still getting used to my new job, very long commute, recovering from losing my mom, getting past the depression of the past year. Anything that will help me focus on the positive can be a good thing. So:
1 - clean up the house (we have a visitor coming)
2 - drink more water (not hard - it's been very little lately)
3 - put down some written goals for better eating during the first business trip of my new job (business travel has it's own issues - add tiredness, boredom on the plane, busy schedule, and being wined and dined)

This is my first challenge, too. My fiancι and I have had the Flu (Type B) so we have been laying around feeling sorry for ourselves and not going to work all week. I can't see my granddaughters since I don't want to spread germs and I'm still recovering from surgery so I can't exercise. However, I will commit to the following for this weekend:

1. Drink at least 10 glasses of water (I count coffee, tea, and flavored water) each day.
2. Finish cleaning out the walk-in, bedroom closet.
3. Clean up the mess that has accumulated at the end of the foyer and bottom of the stairs.

1) Get myself out of this funk I am in
2) Treadmill, 40 mins, both days
3) Spark, both days to keep connected

The way I am feeling today I will be lucky not to binge but I didn't make it a goal because I don't want to beat myself up double if I fail.

2 - CLEAR THE DESK

Well, the last weekend that I set up my goals I recall wanting to use the treadmill, drink lots of water and use my benchpress. Things have since changed and I am going to change my goals for this weekend.

I know I had wanted to use my benchpress last time, but I soon realised that I don't enjoy using it, especially with it being in the garage and it is totally freezing down there. So I have since gotten rid of it on freecycle. Oh, I also wanted to commit more time to the treadmill, but I think I should just commit extra time to my pooches as they always love to get out and about with me.

1. Drink lots of water.
2. Get more cardio exercise with my dogs both days (sometimes my husband takes them out on the weekends).
3. Get back into consuming my mini meals, so I want to spend a decent time cooking and freezing these for the week.

Good luck everyone!

My 3 things:

1). Don't let hubby get me off track w/my schedule.
2). No evening munching.
3). Walk the dogs...BOTH days!! LOL!

Kiss a cow, hug a tree, walk a dog, feed watermelon to chickens and tell your loved ones how much you love them...Repeat daily for best results.

It's another weekend - Woo Hoo!!

Time to make your weekend commitment...and stick to it!

Pick three things you will do this weekend to stay on track. NOT three things each day but three things for the entire weekend.

Post your commitment here! Come back Monday and report your progress.

Here's my start:
1. Drink those pesky 8 glasses of water EACH day.
2. Eat out with DH & EAT WITHIN MY CALORIE RANGE
3. Make egg mcmuffins for the freezer for next week!

See you all Monday!
