I haven't used butter in a long time even though I LOVE it!! The "I can't believe it's not butter" spray(or Parkay) is always in my fridge and I spray it on everything!!!!

I also use butter, sparingly. I use olive oil and other nut oils. Where do you get ghee? I don't have time to make it.


I can do ALL things through Christ whom strengthens me.

I use olive oil for cooking and I use the spray margarine, that way I don't use as much, it cuts down on a lot of calories and fat.

I also use butter. Olive oil, grape seed and other nut oils. I've just picked up an avocado oil that is also supposed to be healthy. I'd rather have less and stick with real.

Caro do you make or buy your ghee?

I use butter, and also like others not that much. I also use ghee which has added health benefits, "Ghee lacks hydrogenated oils and is a popular choice for health-conscious cooks as well. Additionally, since all the milk proteins have been removed during the clarifying process, ghee gains further nutritional value because it's lactose free, making it a safer alternative for those who are lactose intolerant." Its also really tasty :)

i use whipped butter as it is lighter and also using less grilling and roasting veggies brings out their flavor so you need less to get more flavor

I am with you. We use butter in our house but it is really not that much. We also use olive oil. The body knows what natural products are when they go into your system and they know how to break it down.

I love butter. I'm eating less, substituting olive oil when appropriate, but I won't use oleo.
