I have no control with peanut butter.
Or chocolate.
Or ice cream.
Or popcorn.

So, I work it in! If I am really craving peanut butter, I used to just stick a spoon in and have that. It never worked.I always wanted more. Instead, I make myself a peanut butter sandwich. It fixes my craving, fills me up, and allows me to go about my day.

I also really crave salty things. However, I have very little control when it comes to the salt shaker. I shake to taste, not even realize the amount. Now, I snack on a pickle or some other condensed salty food. A pickle can be really salty, but it will still fit within your range for the day. Your craving goes away, you've barely done any damage to your diet, and you are happy.

I have tried time and again to cut out the foods I love. All that leads to is binging and obsessing about this one food. Life should not revolve around food! So, if I find ways to allow my guilty pleasures, I am better able to stick on track. Sure, sometimes my PB sandwich or my pickle puts me over some allotment in my nutrition tracker, but it is a million times better than a binge would be!
