I used to take Metformin (for years) and never had any problems that I can recall, except a dry mouth..... I actually started out with Diabeta, and was finally taken off that a few years ago when I moved to a new city and the doctor was shocked that I was still taking that as well as insulin. So the Diabeta went, and a couple of years later the Metformin went.

So right now all I take is 3 kinds of insulin. I know there are lots of oral medications out there but I have very little experience with them....

Sorry....

After 6 years living with no meds or metformin only I have now gotten out of control and have to go on meds again. I cannot tolerate metofrmin anymore, terrible stomach issues. I am looking for suggestions and experiences with the other drugs out there.
