I used to be able to sleep on one side at night but now I awake in the morning with it sore.
I try to switch during the night but I favor that side. I guess things start to wear out in age, like parts in cars.

My thigh and groin area on my right side has been tight since March 2nd. Sometimes it bothers me more than other times but it has never gone away. And it bothers me more in the evening time. Especially after a busy day. I have had problems finding a comfortable position to fall asleep in and staying asleep without it bothering me since then. They say it is all connected. Issues in the spine causing problems in one area and then that is triggering issues in other areas. Luckily the bad spasms I was having with it first are pretty much gone. Just dealing with an almost constant dull achy feeling now, like an over worked muscle.

The groin area has happened to me and also my girlfriend and then it went away. Had it for a day or two. If I walk too fast I get a spasm in the back of my thigh and have to slow down.
When in bed, moving my legs, there are times my ankle goes out and I have to stand on floor for it to snap back in place. Could it be we are getting older?

I had issues with my back and side on and off for years. This is the first time having issues with the groin, or right side leg. It might be from all the driving I have been doing lately for work, or I might have just moved the wrong way several months ago without realizing it when I did it and it just didn't cause any issues until later. So not really sure when or what exactly set it off. They had me move my seat up closer to the dash board, so that I am not stretching my leg out to reach the pedals. Put towels or a wedge cushion in the seat so that my knees are not higher than my bottom, as the bottom bench of my truck seat tips upward raising my knees up and my bottom and back lower and tipped backward. And there is no adjustment on the seat to change that. Also a towel folded up to support my lower back. Had me check out the computer chair at work and home to be sure I didn't have it raised up too high or too low. And other stuff too.

I had to use exercise bands for the nerve in my leg which was caused from my back when I fell years ago. They do work but you have to keep doing them all the time.

Hope results help.

my Spasms are in my back, side and groin thigh area. Supposedly mine are from pinched nerves. Going to PT to work on them at least twice a week now, and doing their PT exercises on my own three times a day per their directions too. Some of it is stretching, some of it is working with weights, or exercise bands, and exercise balance ball and such. They are working on my core muscles and more.

Did you know drinking 8 glasses of water helps spasms? I used to get a lot of them and after I started drinking the 8 glasses of water they stopped and I only get them once in a while.

They say it comes from lack of potassium and magnesium. I have enough so I can not figure why I got them.

Sometimes, when turning in bed my ankle will go out and I have to stand up before it goes back in place. Do not know what causes it, nor does the doc. I guess they do not know everything.
