I have learned that cutting my portions in half works for me. I also try to eat healthy emoticon and I keep my calories between 1200 1500 cals a day. I lost 40 pounds this way. emoticon

I also like to exercise everyday. I alternate Cardio emoticon and Yoga emoticon with Strength training emoticon every other day. I will take off a day once a week and do nothing. Sometimes I need to let 48 hours pass before I lift weights again. I have used light weights, 1 to 5 pounds. I also use a weight machine and a treadmill emoticon when I can't get out and walk. I also like to stretch out on the floor and also on a balance Ball. emoticon Feels great!

I am the same way Elf. I watch what I eat but I don't count calories. When I do eat something not healthy, I only have a small amount. If I find I put on weight I work at it to get it off before I start to eat something that did it. So far this works for me.

*shrugs* We all vary on our personal preference. Calorie counting has been pretty easy for me and haven't had issues with feeling hungry. Just have to find ways to plan food times around what works best on the given day since my work schedule varies so much. This way I can eat healthy foods but can also enjoy all the stuff labeled not healthy within reason. Don't have to worry cause I wanted a donut this morning or anything like that.

I like stir fries as I put a lot of veggies in them, and I add a small amt of pasta for starch.
I find I am not hungry, if I get hungry later I have some watermelon. Supper consists of a sandwich of chicken, if I am hungry, or I might just have a small dish of ice cream or some fruit. Seems to be working for me, with the walks and bike exercise.

Do you know how frustrating it is for me to have to keep track of every calorie I put in my mouth! Been there done that get discouraged way to fast because once you reach your daily calorie limit you've never eaten enough and you're always ravenously hungry.
With the Nutritarian lifestyle I eat to my hearts content, no counting calories, no starving because there's no under eating. You're getting everything you need in a day; vitamins minerals protein starch and every colour of the rainbow from every food group. And huge variety No boredom! And you loose! Quickly healthy and keep it off!

TODAY Is MY tomorrow. It's up to ME to shape it, To TAKE CONTROL and seize EVERY opportunity. The POWER is in the choices I make EVERY day. I eat well, I live well I SHAPE ME!

THE EMPOWERED LIFE. EXPECT IT . BELIEVE IT. RECEIVE IT.

There are books out there to help you lose weight by telling you what not to eat. If you find you have a big meal in the afternoon, have something small at night. Fruit is good when you feel you need something. Some times you need something to crunch so try celery or a carrot, or a radish. Watermelon is a good source for fruit. It has water in it and is crunchy.
Try baking cookies and freezing them. Then take one out a day. They take time to crunch as they are hard. Break up candy in small pieces and take one small piece. If you eat what you want but in a small amount then you will not crave it. Don't overdue at parties. Eat something before you go.
