Yep, I would get heartburn. I was surprised to lose the 2.4 this week, but nothing today, just stayed the same. The confirmation is this week and was glad the 2.4 came off, but will have to watch it. It is at night so probably won't be hungry, as it is after supper. I don't usually eat after supper, once I ate, so I might be safe. The kids party they have pizza and heartburn for me so I will be ok because they also have chili and heartburn, so I will stick to the veggies and some chips, maybe if cookies might have one or two. Depends on what kind of cake if I take a slice.

It's just personal preference. I like oatmeal sweet and not savory so except the caramel macchiato almonds I had for a short time, most nuts are too savory for my oatmeal. I usually add some egg white and cook slowly if I want to add some protein to oatmeal. Lower calorie than peanut butter. Though at least I do okay with portion control and peanut butter when I use it. Some have a hard time sticking to a single serving but I usually use just under a serving as I don't like a large amount of it at once. Though I should start weighing more at some point to make sure I'm being accurate with my calories. For nuts, I enjoy almonds like blue diamond habanero bbq but it's spicy so would cause other people digestion issues, I would guess.

You could add some nuts and peanut butter to oatmeal and it should fill you. It is healthy too.
I have the nuts in the morning, for protein, then afternoon fish, turkey hamburgers, turkey meatloaf, or chicken. What remains, I have for supper in Pita bread.

I do the same, when there is a sale, I stock up. Sometimes, we have tuna, sardines, chicken, turkey, or salmon, with mayo on pita bread for supper, as our big meal is in the afternoon.

Never would have thought to put peanut butter with cereal. I don't eat cereal much because it doesn't fill me up at all, not for the small servings, or what the box considers is a single serving. The same with oatmeal actually. Some people can just do one pack of oatmeal and say it keeps them full but nope, it's not enough for me.

Nuts have a little protein but not much. I get my protein from other sources, like chicken. mmm chicken. That does remind me that I do have several cans of tuna though. Need to use those one of these days. I get them when they are on sale at work for less than 75 cents per can.

Try a few nuts in the morning for protein, or some peanut butter in your cereal.

Lunch a chicken sandwich, or open a can of tuna with some mayo and bring it. If going out have a salad with some chicken.

Dinner, I leave a little of the lunch protein and have that.

I tend to follow the idea that it's calories in versus calories out. You can lose weight eating junk food if you eat low enough calories, it's just less quality and quantity normally that route. You can also eat too much of "healthy" food and gain weight.

For snacks, it depends on what I have available and how my day is going. Often I'm still a little low on protein so I have to find something that will help me get closer to my goal but other times it will vary. I have a single serving of candy on occasion, sometimes I'll have a snicker doodle cookie, and other times it will be jerky or eggs. I eat nuts but not very often. It's hard to keep to a single serving but they do help me reach my fat goals sometimes as some of them can contain a fair amount, same with avocados, and that's good for hormones and such.

I still have my teeth, but I also have bridges. I like candy too but can't eat it because sometimes it gives me heartburn. Cranberry sauce, tomato sauce, tomatoes, fruit, juice, all give it to me. Creams, and strawberries give me allergies, plus some medications. Eggs, sugar, meat, nuts, cheese, anything with high fat, all give you cholesterol. Milk products give you mucus.

So why are we not loosing weight if we do not eat them?

Unfortunately I still like candy!!! The odd thing is, I don't gain weight eating candy. I'm sure if I ate more candy than I do I'd put on weight.

I read there's a connection between sugar and depression. That's another good reason to stop...or at lease slow down with my eating candy. Plus it's bad for my teeth....and I don't have many left. Just ask my dentist. lol

Drinking the water helps, but if I get bored and want something, I go for some nuts.
What helps you get through the day, without gaining?
