You are young so you should be able to build big bones. I could carry a lot of heavy stuff before my back started.

That's okay Camey. Do what you can and that is great.

I need to lift heavy things at work. I have to deal with the packages of bottled water, gallons of milk in crates and such. So, hopefully after a couple months I will be able to lift more.

The apartment complex has a little gym room. It just has a couple weight machines, a treadmill and a bike, but I haven't used any of it yet. I do have resistance bands somewhere, I just don't remember where I put them.

The gym is nice cause there is the indoor lap pool, group classes, and many other options. When I do weights, I'm doing mostly the free weights, so the dumbells and bars, which some of those even without weights added tend to weigh around 45 lbs. I'm pretty weak for now, as I haven't lifted in years besides stuff at work. Hope to get stronger in the next few months. Let's see where I'm at by say... June.

I have equipment at home. We have the bike, a stair walking exercise stand, another where you go up and down on it can't remember the name. We have weights, and ropes you put on doors for stretching. Also, right now, doing therapy and getting plenty of exercise there.

Now I can say: Yes. I joined a gym this week that is open 24 hours, so should be able to find time to go 3-4 days a week.

I can understand taking a few lbs. at a time. Thinking of all you have to lose can stop you from losing. Yesterday, with all my walking and bike, I lost a lb. Yea. Now, today have to get on bike and hope to walk somemore. I sure was tired thought with the fair walking.

It was 38 this morning when I got up, so glad I put heat on last night. I try not to put it on if it is going to be 49 or 59 in the morning as it is warm enough with the installation, but lower than that it goes on because of my arthritis.

As long as you keep going down and not up you will one day get there.

With the sizes it varies and the really small sizes it's not so much weight but inches around waist, hips, etc that affect size. Some of the smaller ones it isn't much between sizes but some of the bigger ones you have to lose a bit more before dropping as size. I'd have to lose more than 10 to drop a size in pats with where I'm at right now, for example.

I'm almost 5' tall and while the BMI suggests 120 lbs... it's not feasible at this time. I have to give myself different goals so I can reach them and see what it's like before trying to do more cause if I had to just focus on 80+ lbs to lose it'd be hard to keep going all the time it would take, if I could even get that low.

Well I am 5' `1 " with one measurement and with someone else 5', but doc wants me to lose 20 lbs and if I can I will be back to a size 8, instead of a l2. I think each l0 lbs. is a size less.
Somedays, it is fine and others drawbacks. Today, at the sr. fair they had cookies and I had two, which didn't help, but I didn't have supper tonight only some yogut, banana and rasins and I did do the bike for 60, walked for hour and half at center and then up the street at home, so figured I worked some off. Had fish, broccoli and rice for lunch, but did have some toasted bread slices, which were small, with butter. I may have a salad tomorrow and Sunday with chicken and veggies.

Yeah, I'd get bored with steps. I mean following the videos I already own. I need to use them more but jumping and stuff, not that kind to the neighbors. Maybe when I weight less it won't sound as bad. lol

We have a step which folds up. It has a place for two feet and you go up and down. It was 69 dollars. Sometimes, at a yard sale you can pick up something small like that which will not make noise.

I have some workout dvds, an exercise ball (deflated right now) and a couple resistance bands. However, I don't have a lot of room and since I live on the second floor I worry about any that have jumping cause don't want to disturb the neighbors that live below me.

Right now I'm walking outside but in the rainy winter that might need to change. I can start the resistance stuff at home with the band and everything, but eventually I want a gym membership. The first one might be short term, like the gym I found that is no year membership and only 10$ a month. I looked into the Y but it's like 50$ a month, which is the same as the fancy gym membership so probably won't go there. But eventually, since my main focus is fitness, I would like a gym membership because of all the options the nice gym has (classes like zumba, lap pool, weights, assistance to do the weight-lifting properly, etc).

I want to be more like an athlete, so that means a gym might be useful but in the future when I can afford it better. I have a little box I'm saving change and spare dollars in as my Gym Fund. Some day.
