Yea, the holidays are over now and back to the grind. I am drinking bullion instead of coffee or tea as they have acid and find it curbs my getting something extra to eat. Anything that helps. All pastry is gone and not going to bake for a while. So hoping that will also help. No parties in site or things to put on weight. Today going to have the left over Salmon cakes with veggies. Tomorrow may take out the fish.

Seeing new doc tomorrow for medications, only take blood pressure and Antivert when my ear gets blocked for dizziness. So decided to change beds today and wash sheets.

Neat.

I'm skipping the scale for a few days to let things calm down, though back to curbing the calories. I didn't eat that much though, just mostly in sweets instead of protein and veggies. Oh well. Went to the gym after work and did some upper body weight lifting.

Well now the holidays are over so we can get back to normal. I hate to get on the scale with all the pastry.

My nephew was there too, with my great niece and nephew. My nephew is in a tv movie. He is the one with the white long hair, tied back. He got 900 for just one line as stand in, but in this one he does more. He was in one that came out with a teddy bear but had one line.

Yeah. It's expensive to go out. I rarely do and I just have to pay for 1 person. Even some fast food places are getting expensive. Not sure how my parents did it even years ago as there were 6 of us total just with them, me and my siblings. I always try to order something on the cheaper side if someone else is paying.

No lifting right now cause holidays and it's my two days rest from gym. Just had work last night until midnight and today I work 2-10pm as we're back to normal closing hours. We have lots of treats at work though. Not so much on regular food, but people brought cookies, pie and fudge. I brought cake covered with white chocolate and crushed candy canes.

Know the feeling. Kept waking up last night and right now I want to lie down and close my eyes. Took family out, as xmas eve is my treat, to the tune of l69.00 Restaurants are not cheap. Then we went to my son's house and opened our presents. Tomorrow we will spend xmas with them and dil's friends. Be glad when it ends as I am tired.

That's nice. I haven't lived in the apartments here for long so don't really know any of the neighbors. I did make cookies and the roommates are enjoying them. Will make cake for work before I go in after some sleep.

After work I went to the gym. Was too tired to go before work as I got less than 4 hours of sleep. But lifting weights went well even though I'm tired and now have a headache. Hopefully, I can sleep tonight.

I brought her over some eggplant and they had it the next day for lunch.

Today, made canoli and candy for neighbors. I got fudge, cookies and candy back from them.
So a lot of work at xmas. Tomorrow take family to lunch and open gifts and then xmas day eat with family.

I hope things go well for your neighbor. One of my coworkers went through Chemo not long ago and it looks like another is going to have to go through a round of it.


Today was my day off so umm, I went and worked twice. In between them, I went to the gym for upper body hypertrophy and jogged for 22 minutes.

I have to make canoli for my neighbor, as she brings me cookies. Also, going to bake some eggplant I had in freezer for new neighbor who just came home from hospital after lung cancer was cleared. She still has to go for camo because they didn't get a small piece.

Finished one set of bike and washing sheets and clothes. Knee is acting up, so not sure if I can get through second bike exercise.

Went to family party last night and today I am relaxing. I cooked the eggplant yesterday and did all my exercise before we left. It is cold outside so going to try and keep warm.

We sometimes wonder why we do not lose weight after we been loosing. Here are some reasons why.
If the pounds don’t drop anymore, it means you are not in a large enough calorie deficit anymore. Don’t go having pizza and fries for dinner now.

Your metabolism is supposed to slow down as you’re losing weight. Re-examine how many calories you’re consuming a day to make sure you are eating fewer calories than you are burning. Keeping a journal can help you stay on track.

“Switching things up is really important,” Mira Calton says. “Have a ‘cheat day’ but with more of the healthy food you’ve been eating so your body doesn’t think you’re starving it,” she adds.

Make sure you are systematically increasing the intensity of your workouts. Muscle helps boost your metabolism and burn calories. So, do more resistance and metabolic training. Combine short, fast runs with weightlifting, for example.

The problem is that it is not very clear when you’re doing too much. “Some people have been working out too hard. We find that a lot. If you’re out of breath or too tired, take it back a little bit,” she says. It can make a big difference

This week is almost over and I made cookies for the party. Only had two and that was it.
They are leaving this house soon. Next week just have to deal with Christmas Day because I am taking family out to restaurant Christmas Eve afternoon, so not worry about pastry. We will exchange gifts and then leave to go home so they can put stuff under the tree, then see them in the afternoon on Christmas.

Before when the kids were small we used to wrap a bone for the dog, but don't do it anymore with the 8 year old. She gets enough of treats.

Went to gym with coworker where I did some squats so she could take pictures for me, then lifted for upper body hypertrophy. After that, went and jogged for almost 40 minutes. My normal, hour+ pathway was cut short due to flooding issues as we've had a lot of rain over the past week.

I already did one set of bike and will do second when mail is done. I cooked soup today. Instead of using the whole box of broth, I took l cup of broth, one cup of the bullion, the one that is not a cube and put a tbs in the cup and hot water and poured that in it too, then a cup of cold water. Added my carrots, onion, celery and chicken and noodles. It was good. I eliminated the extra salt that way. I froze the rest of the broth.

I also sat down and wrote to Guidepost. I sent out two stories a you can only send one in an envelope at the time. I forgot the self address env so had to open it again and put one in.

Been running around looking for Camey soap as it has stopped making the product. I may have to order it on line as some places still have some.

Then my gd came over for a few hours and we had lunch. Then she had to get back to study for a test. She is in high honors and taking some college courses right now, so she says it is hard. Yet she is still honors on her report card.

I then managed to finish bike and mail and it is almost time for supper and I am just too tired to tackle anything more.

I need to finish present stuff so I can get things mailed. Today I worked 9 hours then went to the gym for some random upper body lifts. Elbow is sore and work continues to aggravate so taking a little longer to bounce back on the issue, so I tried some different lifts tonight. Doesn't help that I have the start of a cold cause roommate was sick recently. Doesn't stop the cat from curling up on my lap though. At least she's comfortable.

Went to the gym earlier today to meet with trainer for caliper thing to check body fat. Hasn't changed since the last time but I'm still working away. Hopefully can get it to drop one or two before have it tested again. Afterwards I lifted weights, upper body, then did 30 minutes jogging on the treadmill.

I lost one of the two lbs. I put on at Thanksgiving. So now working on the second before the family party comes. Once we get by xmas I will be back on track.

Made some cookies yesterday and may make some cup cakes today. They are in the freezer. Want stuff here for the holidays incase unexpected company shows up.

Last night I went to the gym after work for upper body. It went pretty well and I'm managing bench press at 105 now, which I struggled to do even a single set before leaving for vacation, so things are improving.

Tonight was lower body, so squats and deadlift. Working my way up still after the break but things are going well.

I had to stop my weights completely because the shoulder pain is back. Today was also the neck pan. Probably slept the wrong way.

I am going to put a cup of the broth in the pan and a cup of water, so it will only be less than 500, as I got the no fat low sodium. I will freeze the rest of the broth for another time. A cup of broth and one of water should be enough for us, with all the carrots, celery, onion and chicken.

I called Comcast and they put a work order in on the email but I will never hear from them.
You have to keep complaining.

Good luck with all of that. My stepsister had trouble emailing me but that was because she was putting in the wrong address. She tried sending it to gmail and I have a ymail account (which is basically a branch of yahoo).

Lifted weights after work last night. It was a long weekend as I went in early yesterday, so ended up with over 20 hours working in 2 days. Glad I have a little time off but don't think I'll make 50,000 words for nanowrimo. I'm almost at 20,000 and aside from today and tomorrow, I have to work. This holiday season in retail is busy bee central. So, I will write but whatever I get to I get to on the word count and I can try to finish the novel draft in December.


Oh and yeah, sodium is pretty common in store bought broth. It's okay to have some but you don't want to do too many high sodium items in a day. Pre-made soups are like that too, high in sodium. I just try not to have something like that and beef jerky or other high items all in the same day, plus try to drink enough water in the day to stay hydrated.

Today, I also cut up carrots, celery and onion and froze it for soup next week. Bought some fat free broth but it says 480 a cup of salt. Who is going to only have a cup of soup? I think it is too much salt. I might just put in two cups and water it down so some of the salt will disappear. Then freeze the rest of the broth for another time.

Rough day today. Went to church, came home had breakfast and then started. First my back exercise, then washing clothes, then striping beds and washing sheets, towels and the kids sheets when they sleep over. The last load is done by 4 pm and I am exhausted. I baked BBQ chicken so had dishes to do too. Once I finish my mail I will go and lie down and watch some tv till I have to get supper.

I will talk to my friend at Verizon tomorrow and get back to talk to Comcast. I believe they are the ones servicing email and I am not getting some from some friends. Says my email does not exist and some comes through others don't. Got to get to the whatever is causing the problem.

Good luck with all of that Camey. I'm not very tech so any issues tend to be over my head.

I went to the gym after work to lift weights and run on the treadmill. Ended up working over 10 hours today, got out late and just now getting the crock pot stuff cooling. No writing, sadly, and need to be in bed soon as have 10 hour shift coming up. mmm sleep

Morning to you. I am off to do my bike. Not much mail this morning. Having problems with computer freezing. Had to restart. Sometimes, it will go blank and then come back on too.
It is only 4 in Dec. Since Comcast changed our tv program I had problems but Comcast says it is not their fault. What else are they going to say? It was working great before they changed over. So if you do not see me on one of these days you know why.

Going to start my second bike. Man did not make it for lock on door yesterday so is coming today, so can't sit and write till he does. Have to take care of the dog so she will not be in the way or bark at him.

Today, another day with errands. Washing towels and clothes now and then have to get lunch, which is our big one for the day. After that will do my errands. Trying to get some writing done. Dh will be having supper with some friends so I can get to writing as soon as I grab a bite.

After spending some time in starbucks where I did a little writing, I bought groceries, came home and wrote some more. I also went to the gym where I lifted weights, upper hypertrophy day, followed by 30 minutes jogging on treadmill.

Had to get some stuff at BJ, then went to Kohl to get two stuff white bears for the little ones.
I still have cards to get for special ones, and an outfit for my great niece, and fill up the bear jars for the gk as they love that, and then money inside. So much to do and the stuff at home is not getting done. I get so tired and then have to get the second bike done too. At night, after supper I just lie on the bed and watch tv. Stay young, don't get old. LOL

Monday my day for changing beds and washing sheets. Got the clothes done yesterday. Today, with this weather change up and down not up to doing much. Exercise is done and only second half of bike to do. I cook my big dinner in the afternoon so I can have my late afternoons free for writing.

Saturday night, I went to the gym and lifted upper body. Then tonight, (Sunday), I lifted lower body. Like the lifting on the weekend since the gym isn't busy late at night then. And plus, my days off are going to be monday and tuesday for the next few weeks, so work hard then get to sleep in. mmm sleep
