4 pounds is very good. You don't want to loose too much at once because you'll gain it all back. Also because you are exercising muscles are adding weight as well. Don't lose heart you can do it.

Losing weight while staying healthy takes time. We all would like to wake up tomorrow, step on the scale, and see the number we like. It isn't going to happen. You need to give this time. You need to be patient and celebrate every single partial pound lost. A plateau is about 2-3 months of eating and exercising according to plan with no weight loss. The most successful at losing weight and keeping it off lose slowly. One lady here has lost just over 200 pounds. It took 3-12 years. She reached her goal in December. She had added a few calories to her weight loss plan--she want to go slow to find out how much she can eat and maintain. Now 3 months later she as lost 2 additional pounds.

You really cannot achieve your health and fitness goals without committing to a different lifestyle for the rest of your life. It isn't going to help to move from food plan to food plan and SP is not really about a particular food plan--it is about achieving your goals on any food plan. Relax, keep on doing your plan and in time the weight will come off.

It's only been a week! almost 1/2 a lb is a good thing! Since it seems like you have been losing weight and such for a while now, you may have reached a plateau? Just keep at it... while i can't really speak by example over the past year - I do know from the past that you need to keep going to see the results sometimes! Good Luck!

Hey Team,
So I had my first weigh in this morning and after following the SP guidelines pretty religiously I only lost .4lbs. I'm not sure if you can see my info but. I met my calorie goals every day and only went over once. I met all the other nutrients each and only went over on carbs once and didn't meet fat once. I went above and beyond my cardio goals as well. I was really hoping this plan would help me be successful. I do exercise a lot because I teach fitness classes and am training for a triathlon. Any advice you can give me? Thanks in advance!

Kristin
