That sounds good. My daughter gave me a bunch of the packaged oatmeal. It is low sugar & pretty good but I think the regular oats is better for you.

this morning I had English Muffin with peanut butter.

1/4 cup old fashioned oatmeal, some walnuts broken into smaller pieces, some slivered almonds, a little bit of protein powder this morning, a small piece of chocolate candy,
1 tablespoon peanut butter, 3 oz, almond milk and 2 oz. skim milk. then i microwave it for 3 and 1/2 min. stir it all up to mix the P.B. and piece of chocolate.

this is usually my morning breakfast. sometimes i just use stevia instead of the protein powder.

i would prefer almond milk, but hubby won't drink or use it and we have to have the skim milk just in case he wants it, so i have to use the milk so it doesn't go sour and need to you know what with it. i hate to waste food.

This should be relatively easy for me. I typically eat fruit and a hard boiled egg on weekdays, but on the weekends I tend to indulge a bit more. I'll have to give up the weekend omelettes for a while, but that's really no big thing.

Thanks Pat. @GRANDMAKARENG hope this makes it a little easier for you! As long as you didn't Have the whole loaf of banana bread, I don't see why you couldn't have it. I would be nibbling the whole thing all day long until it was gone. Lol. Because I have problems with certain kinds of food.

My nutritionist suggested this for me:
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 teaspoon butter or jam
1 hard or soft boiled egg for protein
Banana, orange, or 1/2 grapefruit

Another from my doctor:
1 serving Kellogg's mini wheats, Raisin Bran, or flakes
1/2 cup milk
Fruit of your choice
Coffee or tea

My dietician suggested for diabetic hubby:
Plain cooked oats (not instant flavored packets)
Scrambled egg
Fresh fruit that's in season
Tea (he can put 1 teaspoon sugar in his morning tea)

Hope this helps a wee bit.
