Day 75 - Sunday 1/15/17 LAST DAY OF CHALLENGE

1. What is your starting weight? What is your weight this week?
Starting week:11-1-16 187 lbs.
End Weight November: 184 lbs/ - 3 lbs. from starting weight
End Weight December 188 lbs/ + 1 lb. from starting weight
Jan 1 - 192 lbs. (not my usual weigh-in day but wanted to see what I was on the 1st of year)
Jan 5 - (forgot to weigh in)
Jan 10 - 188 lbs.
Jan 15 - 185 lbs.

SO - for the Challenge I was down/up/down - but overall ended up with a 2 pound loss! For me that's emoticon


2. Did you eat a healthy breakfast today? Yes; 2 egg ham and cheese omelet with sides turnip greens and sliced apple with sheep cheese and walnuts

3. Did you eat a total of 5 veggies or fruits combined? Yes; mushroom, onion, turnip greens, apple, blueberries

4. How many glasses of water did you drink? 8

5. Were your snacks healthy? Yes; raw almonds

6. Did you get 10 minutes of continuous exercise? No

7. Did you eat a healthy snack in the evening that included some protein? No

8. If you have some type of tracker, how many steps did you have today? Very little activity - steps were 547

9. What physical activity did you do today? None

10. Did you resist or just have a small taste of those tempting desserts? No desserts to resist.

11. Over all how do you feel you did today on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being not
so good and 10 being you did really good. 8 - need to increase water and ACTIVITY

12. Share with us team mates what you did to control your appetite, or what
successes you have had. What you found out that might work for may help us to achieve success also. This challenge is what really helped me through the holidays. I would have gained MUCH MORE weight as I have holidays past and not been able to get it back off as quickly were I not coming here being 'accountable' and supported. THANK YOU ALL!

2. Did you eat a healthy breakfast today? Yes; 2 egg cheese omelet with sides of eggplant/mushroom stir fry plus spinach salad plus sliced apple with sheep cheese and walnuts

3. Did you eat a total of 5 veggies or fruits combined? Yes; eggplant, mushroom, spinach, tomato, onion, apple, blueberries

4. How many glasses of water did you drink? 6 (maybe 8 but definitely remember the 6)

5. Were your snacks healthy? No snacking

6. Did you get 10 minutes of continuous exercise? No

7. Did you eat a healthy snack in the evening that included some protein? No

8. If you have some type of tracker, how many steps did you have today? Received new tracker today - WHOOO HOOOO - but didn't do any walking - ha! My 'steps' for the day were 532.

9. What physical activity did you do today? None

10. Did you resist or just have a small taste of those tempting desserts? No desserts to resist.

11. Over all how do you feel you did today on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being not
so good and 10 being you did really good. 8 - need to increase water and ACTIVITY

Monday 12/6 this was the last day I posted..today is 1/11/2017 for 1/10/2017

I have been lax in this and lost the thread. I had been way to tired to track, but hopefully I can keep up now. my last words on that day. didn't work.

1. What is your starting weight? Then weigh yourself once a week on the same
day. What is your weight this week? 198 pounds unfortunately that was then and this is now 200.0 not good. need to work on myself.

2. Did you eat a healthy breakfast today? yes, oatmeal with peanut butter. this hardly ever canges

3. Did you eat a total of 5 veggies or fruits combined? 4...potatoes, carrots, onions, peppers

4. How many glasses of water did you drink? atleast8

5. Were your snacks healthy? unfortunately no

6. Did you get 10 minutes of continuous exercise? ???if you count shoveling snow for about 15 min., sweeping afterwards for 10 min. and shoveling horse poop for 10 min.???

7. Did you eat a healthy snack in the evening that included some protein? Greek yogurt

8. If you have some type of tracker, how many steps did you have today? didn't get it downloaded yet

9. What physical activity did you do today? shoveling and sweeping

10. Did you resist or just have a small taste of those tempting desserts? ate one small piece of chocolate
11. Over all how do you feel you did today on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being not so good and 10 being you did really good. 5 an in the middle day.

3. Did you eat a total of 5 veggies or fruits combined? yes mixed vegetables with spinach for lunch, portion left for dinner. also portion cooked butternut squash w/ scallions.

4. How many glasses of water did you drink? 8 glasses .

6. Did you get 10 minutes of continuous exercise? Yes 25 minutes shoulder physical therapy exercises, walking exercises. 45 minutes cleaning kitchen and laundry.

This 'challenge' has kept me focused and helped me stay on track this past Thanksgiving week - it gave me the incentive to not go overboard and, though I did not lose weight this past week, I did not GAIN any ... which, for me, on a holiday week is just this side of being 'short' of a miracle - ha!

Added some rice to it and some nutritional yeast flakes ... yummy! Had a papaya on the side (hmmmm... should have just added it to the curry and rice!)

6. Did you get 10 minutes of continuous exercise? None today

7. Did you eat a healthy snack in the evening that included some protein? None today

1. What is your starting weight? 187 What is your weight this week? 185 ... the same ... so didn't gain/didn't lose*************total for challenge thus far -2 lbs!!!!

3. Did you eat a total of 5 veggies or fruits combined? Yes; prunes, raisins, apple, avocado, tomato, onions and pomegranate juice (another 'fruity' day for me)

2. Did you eat a healthy breakfast today? Yes. Special K nourish cereal with coconut, almonds, raspberries in Silk light almond milk. Homemade blueberry bran muffin.

3. Did you eat a total of 5 veggies or fruits combined? yes apple, veggie dogs, mushrooms,
V8 low salt vegetable juice.

4. How many glasses of water did you drink? 8 glasses .

5. Were your snacks healthy? Yes apple fat free fig newtons

6. Did you get 10 minutes of continuous exercise? Yes 35 minutes fast walking.

7. Did you eat a healthy snack in the evening that included some protein? no

8. If you have some type of tracker, how many steps did you have today? 3.19 miles

9. What physical activity did you do today? shoulder exercises PT

10. Did you resist or just have a small taste of those tempting desserts? resisted!

Have begun eating more slowly. chewing food longer, eating smaller portions;
stay away from sugars. Meta Appetit control drink is working.

11. Over all how do you feel you did today on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being not so good and 10 being you did really good. 3 - no activity, not enough water*, no veggies today and had chips at dinner which are not on my plan/processed food, etc.

What you found out that might work for may help us to achieve success also. *I read recently in articles regarding good digestion systems one can be in a state of dehydration and the remedy is to drink one-half of one's body weight in ounces daily for two weeks to replenish. Water has ALWAYS been a problem for me. So using the formula I am aiming for 10.5 glasses of water daily for two weeks. I started a couple of days ago and it IS making me feel 'fuller' and maybe eat a bit less - I imagine it 'might' help with weight loss a bit too. In the meantime, I am 'thinking' about food less as filling fuller and not wondering/anticipating what I am going to eat 'next' - ha! Will see effects of this 'experiment' down the line...
