Good holiday challenges Pandabear! I'm IN! Some of the individual challenges don't fit in with my eating plan but there's more than enough on your list to keep me busy! and challenged - ha! It's a good time of year to have a bit 'more' focus too!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time and putting this together for us when it is your busiest time of year! We can all help work out any kinks that might occur as we go along and just have fun with it and be patient with ourselves, each other, and the whole craziness that sometimes accompanies the holiday season!

Awesome. I think I will join in. I need to find a healthier lifestyle suited to my situation. I am scheduled for another hip replacement on January 9th so I want to be in better shape than I am right now - weight wise and exercise wise.

you can track here on this page or do some of your tracking in individually in the action forum and there are topics for most of what will be tracked.

i'm sure i missed some things i should have added to this challenge...we can add them along the way.

i will be one of the first to admit that i will be falling down many times, but i will be picking myself up one more time and move on. unfortunately i will only be able to check in most days in the evenings as i will be making wreaths and hubby is a slave driver this time of the year. i will need to work on my habits big time as i'm a stress eater and i don't have time for myself and i may just pull something easy out to eat for lunch and i'm not going to even think of supper....it depends on who will be doing the cooking.

i'm in on this challenge.

This challenge is going to be different. This challenge is to help us to make better habits and handle all the temptations we will be encountering through the holidays. What could be the most surprising of this challenge is that as we work through our temptations and maybe change some of our habits we may find out we have a surprise of losing some weight along the way.

Starting date for the challenge is November 1, 2016 and ending January 15, 2017

The Challenge:

1. Make sure to eat a healthy breakfast. This is a must!
2. Try to eat at least 5 veggies/fruits combined. This time of year could be harder when some no longer have their home gardens.
3. Try to eat healthy snacks.
4. When presented with all those wonderful desserts and other very tempting goodies, have a small taste (this I know is hard, because sometimes it tastes so good a person wants to pig out and this definitely would be me).
5. If you slip up donít beat yourself up. Just pick yourself up and get back on track. No matter how many times you fall off track always pick yourself up one more time. Remember to never give up!
6. Eat a healthy snack in the evening. Recommendation of at least be sure to eat something with protein for your last snack of the day. This habit has healthy benefits.
7. Try to get 10 minutes of continuous exercise. Some examples; walking even in place or just around the house, spark people has exercise videos that are free to try, even exercises that can be done in a chair, dancing to the music or should I just say just to sway or move to the music. These are just a few ideas I can think right off my head. Iím sure you can think of some other types of exercise and please share the ideas with us. After about a week or two of doing 10 minutes try and up your exercise 5 more minutes and continue on this path.
8. Make sure to drink plenty of water during the day.
9. if you have some type of tracker you can count your steps and post it in the action forum on how many steps did you walk today.
10. you can track almost everything here on this page or you can track each individually under the action forum with each individual topic. if you do it individually maybe you can stop by this page and give us a summery so we can support and cheer each other on.

This will be up to you if you wish to post daily or weekly orÖon how you are doing. You can let us know if you stumbled or your accomplishments. We can cheer each other on with the good or the bad. You are not alone in this. One suggestion please weigh yourself in the beginning of this challenge and maybe once a week to see how your weight is going. One thing you will notice first is how your clothing is fitting you.
