Thanks guys! My mom is doing better than I thought she would. They were married for 55 years. She has good days and bad days just like I do. I know it will get easier. We just have to hang in there.

Sorry that I didn't help everyone reach the goal. My dad was sick and in the hospital and then he passed away this past Tuesday. We buried him yesterday. I hope I will be able to get back on track starting this week.

Do you remember this statement from a month ago: "I think the current 8,700 is the highest ever. Our first goal for June was 5,000 and we hit it pretty quickly & I bumped up the goal to 7,500 and we hit that too. July we were trying to push ourselves, but maybe it was a little too ambitious of us to try for 12,500..." What a difference a month makes!

CROSSSTITCHWIZ - I am almost positive that your minutes are being added to the team's goal. I checked to verify this and saw that you had posted 45 minutes on the 18th, but could not verify anything earlier than that because so many other post had been made since then. I also know that you have 888 minutes this month so far. If you are missing time, post again and I'm sure as a team we'll figure out what to do.

On this challenge do you have to report your min everyday? I was away from a computer for a couple of days but did get in minutes of walking. I placed them on my goals when I got back.

you go Karen! I've been such a slacker so I'm really glad you're here helping us out on the challange. If my oldest is better and can go to school tomorrow (102-104 temp since Friday night) then I can start exercising daily again (now that I'm over it)

I did?! WOOOHOO!!! Oh, I see it over to the right in my side bar. :)

I did the 95 mins this morning and then the hubs got a spontaneous thought and we went out in the yard and started cleaning out the under brush and dangly limbs in the wooded area behind our house. He cut down the limbs and I hauled them. That was an extra 45 mins (or so)

I'm glad I can play my part! It's a Win/Win situation :D

WHINERYJ, Great job in keeping with your goal! I absolutely agree with you. I'm finding exercising to be quite addictive. The more I do - the better I feel. The better I feel - the more I want to do.

Hi, everyone! Sorry I haven't been reporting my exercise minutes. But, I'm on track so far!

Goal: 200 minutes per week
800 minutes this month
Minutes: this week: 195
this month: 500

One thing I've noticed is that I feel so much stronger and fit since I've been exercising the past 3 1/2 months. My posture is better, I'm more limber and my blood pressure is lower - yay!

Plus, it helps to read everyone's encouraging posts and success stories!

As I post these I understand that most days (like today) I calculate and post this in the morning. This skews the numbers because most people have yet to do/record their work outs for that day. Had I calculated things based on the end of the day yesterday we'd see the following:

Current Minutes: 5,395 Minutes/day: 415
Total Monthly Minutes at current rate: 12,865

In other words, we are still on target to meet and surpass our cardio minutes goal!

That's a combined 406 minutes a day for the ENTIRE TEAM! We'd all be in ICU if we tried to do it individually.

Even when I am doing exercises, I can't do 406 minutes a day!!!! I'm doing good to get in 60!!

My dad is doing better but he is still in the ICU. They want to move him to a normal room but they don't have any free beds. Hopefully he can come home soon so I can start doing my walking and other exercises again!! I DO NOT WANT TO STOP LOSING WEIGHT!!!

As a team we need to put up an average of 406 minutes a day for the rest of the month. We have some teammates who are sick, and others who are rightly taking care of family (I'm praying for you and your family Sherry). Those of us who are currently able, (of course none of us knows what tomarrow will bring for us)let's do all that we can to help our whole team win.

Think of our guys olympic gymnastics team. Several injuries seemingly knocked them out of any hopes of contention, yet those who were there pulled together. Because of their efforts and their never say die attitude they were on the medal stand. We'll reach our goal the same way.

Welcome back to the land of the living! I'm glad you're back with us. I haven't been sick, but I have been pretty lazy the last four days or so. I'm making up for it now. I just put in a quick 30 laps at the pool over my lunch break. I plan on getting in some more after work.

I am actually planning on going to the gym after work tonight. DH has a racquetball thing and we drove in together so it's not like I'm gonna back out at the last minute on this one... I hope this is the time to the gym at makes you feel more energized - that's what I really need right now. As of right now, I'm also feeling good enough to attempt getting up at 4:45 tomorrow to hit the pool when it opens in the morning. Here's to feeling better!

For the first time this month we have fallen off of pace to meet our team goal of 12,500 (according to our tracker). I know that this is a goal that this team can not only meet, but also surpass. The rain has lifted. Things are starting to dry out. It's not too hot. Some of our fallen teammates are starting to feel better. Let's get it done!
