For the gaming folks, check out the Nathan and Alan - Con Men Teaser thread in the General Team Discussion forum. They are planning a game for the funders if they reach the next funding goal. From www.indiegogo.com/projects/c
on-man/x/7
927619

"Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk-Me!) was a co-star on Spectrum, a sci-fi series which was canceled -Too Soon- yet became a cult classic. Wray’s good friend, Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred in the series and has gone on to become a major movie star. While Jack enjoys the life of an A-lister, Wray tours the sci-fi circuit as a guest of conventions, comic book stores, and lots of pop culture events. The show will feature all the weird and crazy things that happen to Wray along the way to these events."

From the latest status report:

"We are extremely excited to share our next stretch goal. The Con Man Game!

You get to host the greatest comic book convention ever! As an ambitious convention planner, expand your con by inviting celebrities and setting up attractions, all while fending off comic book villain invasions and collecting tons of swag, such as limited edition comics, pins and DVDs. Use your earnings to customize your con and build your very own geekdom paradise!..."

"The Con Man Mobile Game will be made for iOS and Android Platforms. Free download for everyone, with exclusive in-game perks for all funders!"

Sounds like fun!

Very much looking forward to the game, I fear it may be the cause of the loss of quite a few days :-p

"Nathan Fillion discussed with Larry King his participation in the upcoming Firefly Online video game and explained why fans are still loyal to the 11-episode space western, a decade after its cancellation.

In Firefly Online, players assume the role of a ship captain as they hire a crew and seek out adventures, all the while trading with and competing against the millions of other players to try to survive in the Verse: find a crew, find a job, keep flying.

The game is slated to be released in Spring 2015."

In the past, I don't think I would have responded to this post but after chatting w/friends about which console to upgrade to in the xBox1 vs PS4 debate and listing out the games I like to play (and which system they're on), I realize that I am, in fact, a gamer. :)

I've never played games on a PC. When my husband and I met, he would host Halo nights where there would be several systems going at once and lots of folks playing this massive shootout. I handled the snacks and people who didn't really care about gaming. I had fun supporting his gaming (by giving him time/space to play, getting him new games or gear, etc.), but I didn't really get into it until a few years into our marriage.

My gateway game was Knights of the Old Republic (xBox360 played this old xBox game). I was sick and just laying around anyway. My husband told me it was a good story and he'd handle all the fighting if I'd like. I ended up loving that game... then it was on to Jade Empire, Fable II (then 3) and Mass Effect sealed the deal (Mass Effect is my favorite series by far. I am so sad there won't be more).

Now, I play a lot of the Lego games with my 6 year old son (Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, LOTR, etc.) as well as Little Big Planet - he LOVED Portal....

I prefer to play games with a good story and my husband and I often play together taking turns with the controls. And sometimes I just watch him play (as I did with Last of Us - that game was intense).

I love, love Dragon Age, The Uncharted Series (Nathan Drake reminds me of Captain Tight Pants and Sully reminds me of Sam Axe/Bruce Campbell) and have had a lot of fun with Skyrim, Tomb Raider and GTA. I still have an incredible soft spot for cheesy fighting games (Dead or Alive or God of War anyone?) and am bummed that Bayonetta 2 is only being released on Wii U (a console we don't own and don't plan to get).

Our family goes on "Entertainment Blackout" every fall and we are not allowed to purchase things for ourselves leading up to Christmas (so i don't actually own Dragon Age Inquisition yet & I can't wait to play it!). I am fairly certain it will be a game heavy Christmas and we'll have way more screen time than usual to kick off the new year. And I think that's Awesome!

Very similar, and totally understandable.

After more examples I thought I should also mention that I LARP regularly. Amtgard mostly, but I've done Vampire the Masquerade and others as well.

Husband taught me Magic and never looked back LOL. We play at our local gaming store on weekends for date night; sometimes just for fun and sometimes we enter into the Draft or pre-release tournaments; just pack a cooler full of snacks and food or go next door to the Chines restaurant and the frozen yogurt place, bring in dinner, and whammo...all set. :) But playing at home online is awesome. It's the one online game we play; we're just not MMO people.

I'm the Final Fantasy-slash- Shoot up the Zombies in Racoon city kind of people. :)

Wait... Another browncoat plays Firefall? Woo, who'd have thunk it.

I play there as well. Do I know you in game? =P

Also, as to the original post, I am a strictly PC gamer. I currently play:

Firefall
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Archeage

They all scratch a different gaming itch.

That's hilarious. That happened to me so many times! I'd look at the clock and it would be 8pm and then I'd look again 10 minutes later and it was 4am!

I love that Skyrim cover emoticon Her stuff is amazing. So much talent!

Oh Skyrim...funny story about Skyrim. I went to the 11-11-11 midnight release and stood in line for an hour and a half before the store opened to get my copy. I got home at around 1:00 am or so, and started playing. I completely lost track of time...before I knew it it started getting light out and I thought 'Holy cow...how long have I been playing?'

Also, if you're into violin, you should give this a go:

I'm a huge Lindsey fan...and this cover is phenomenal.

Love the OP's end quote hehe.

I'm a gamer.

Magic: The Gathering (not online)
Mario Brothers (rockin' it old school on the NES)
Skyrim (PS3)

I haven't expanded to Assassin's Creed though I have a couple of the games. Skyrim is just so damn fun.

o: I love Final Fantasy! (well, most of em...I haven't found one person yet who likes every entry in the series, lol), but that wedding topper idea is awesome. As for FF, my favorites are 6, 7, and 12. 10 Was pretty good but the voice acting just ruined it for me, lol.

I do have Rock Band 2/3 for PS3 so that's a possibility. I also own Resident Evil 5 and 6. Good thing about those are the co-op features so there's another possibility.

As for Magic the Gathering, it is my secret geeky passion. I played the actual card game through middle/high school and college, but ended up having to sell most of my cards when I fell upon some hard times. Now though I do play the video game, but I have it on PC, not PS3.

Either way, it sounds like we do have some options if you ever are up for some co-op. :)

*raises hand.* Another one here. :)

Between a Wii and PS3, the husband, myself, and our 13 year old, live on a mixture of:

Injustice
Magic The Gathering Online
Final Fantasy (It's how the hubby and I met. Cecil and Rosa from FF2 were the figures/toppers for our wedding cake.)
Resonance of Fate
Ghostbusters
Guitar Hero/Rock Band
Infamous
Suikoden (One of my favorite old school PS games EVER)
Resident Evil

I'm already in a team for gamers but this has got to be my favorite team of all the ones I'm in, so I figured I'd ask here. Was just curious if there were any gamers among us? Specifically on the PS3. Could always use some decent friends/players on PSN. Unfortunately a lot of the random folks you meet online are rather...crude, these days. Granted, a bit of fun ribbing here and there is fun but nonstop drama is not. (Anyone who's ever played a Call of Duty game online will have a good idea of what I mean.)

Anywho, just figured I'd ask. Have a great day all! Good luck in your endeavors, and as always, stay shiny.

Wash, upon seeing Simon: "Oh! It's grotesque! ...and there's something in a jar."
