Hello and Praise the Lord! Welcome to the Memory verse for the week. Thank you for stopping by. I pray that everyone had a blessed Easter and That your week ahead is blessed as well

Father God, I thank you another opportunity to share Your Word with your children. I ask that You bless me with Your wisdom as I do Your will.
In Jesus Name I pray
Amen

This week's verse come from Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

This verse comes to me as I think about the discussion I was having with my neighbor. He is a young man who I was ministering to and I was telling him how I could believe in what I believed in and in who I believe in. He wanted to know how I could believe in someone and something I never seen and I don't know even exists. I quoted Heb 11:1 to him and explained that it is by my faith in God that I know Him to be real and alive. And that only by accepting His Son, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in his life, will he ever experience this same faith!

The Word tells without faith it is impossible to please God. They that come to God must believe that He is God and that He will do what He promised. (ver 6) And your first act of faith was accepting Jesus as your Savior. But is that your only act of faith? Are you trusting God to be the Master of your life? Is He the One you call on when all else fails? Or do you try to do things on your own because you don't think God can do it? I know I used to be like that. I would do things to help God along because the issue looks so dark and impossible to me that I thought not even God could fix this. I was like Abraham when God told him that he would have a son and Abraham and Sarah thought they would help God along by having a baby with her servant. No matter what I did, God still delivered in His own way and in His own time! But also like Abraham, I am learning to be faithful and learning to trust God each and everyday. And it is not always a easy thing, but when I trust in Christ to help me to be more faithful, that in itself is showing my faithfulness!

So how about you my friends? Are you trusting in the God of faithfulness to see you through the dark times? Or are you relying on your own strength and wisdom? If you are, you are going to lose and God is going to end up fixing the problem anyway, so let's just have faith in Him from the start!

Thank you for reading.
In Jesus Name
Amen

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

May God richly bless you!

In Jesus Name
Amen
