Thank you all! I so appreciate your support and understanding! The headache is a little better today so I am going to try and do the strengthening I have on my schedule. I hope I can get through at least 1/2 of it before my body quits....but all I can do is try. ;)

Isn't it funny how all the things you already know, mean so much more when someone else says them?

All of the advise and support you all have provided over the last two days have made a huge difference. Nobody said anything different that what I might have said to someone else. It isn't like it was anything new or profound, but somehow when I read the messages it meant so much more than just thinking about it myself. It is almost like I had permission....I didn't have to 'justify' my actions.

So thank you! I hope someday to return the favor to you all. I am so glad to be here...You all are the BEST!!

Day 3 - resistance training
Day 4 - 20 minutes walking outside that included 2 hills
Day 5 (today) resistance training (my thigh muscles scream everytime I move my foot from the gas to the break when I have to drive!)

Scarletk,

I think you are going well. BUt I think take sometime just to sit still. Lay down and think of not. Relax. This may help you get going also. I got bad migraine for a little while. So bad I couldn't take light.

Keep your head up

Leslie

Somedays this exercisse thing is just tooo much. I was doing good or about 2 weeks, then the dr. changed my meds. That means withdrawl...even when tapering off slow, that in turn means MIGRAINE. Needless to say, no exercise with a migraine. We adjusted the meds again and the migraine turned into an ugly little headache, tolerable, but still no exercise.

Then it was time for my office to move to a new location at work....talk about exercise! Now the meds are tapering off again and guess what...another MIGRAINE. I went home early of Thurs, survived all day Friday but hurt so bad when I got home, rested all weekend. Monday we moved INTO our new office and NOW my muscles hurt and my head hurts.

I am pushing a 10lb lose this month and I think I will make it by the end of the month but geez I just can't get away from my computer and exercise.

Hurting and depressed....any ideas?

Thanx

NIGHTSKYSTAR,

I am well. Way to go on the new plan. I started bootcamp and the workouts are hard. But I love getting into shape. Next summer I will be fit.

Oh, incase anyone notices/wonders I changed my goal to reflect only 10% weight loss. I am hoping having a closer goal will keep me motivated too. As I reach that goal, I will change it for another 10% etc. wish me luck!

Day 2 of 49 - managed to huff and puff my way thru a 30 minute WATP dvd. Boy does my body revert back to no fitness very quickly. Hopefully it will get fit again soon. But I feel good although I still want a nap.

My biggest problem is consistency with exercise. I started exercising for 3 months straight and found myself falling out of the cycle and making excuses that I am too busy today and I have restarted about 3 days ago trying to build consistency again . So I decided to start slow again and only do 10 min of cardio a day so I can pick up a permanent habit. I had worked myself up to 60 min on the treadmill and 3 days a week strength training and when I didn't have the time for doing it all then I would make excuses and not exercise at all so even though I can exercise for longer periods I am forcing myself not to so that I will build consistency again .

Well, I have not been doing anywhere near as good as I would like so I have challenged myself to start an exercise streak. I was successful once before, exercised for over 60 days straight so I know I can do it again. And posting my intention here keeps me even more on track.

What I do is pick a future date of something important - birthday, holiday, vacation etc. This time it is my October vacation. I took a 2nd calendar and wrote the number of days from today to vacation date. For this challenge it is 49 days from today to October 13 when I get on the plane. My plan it to do resistance training on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday it will be cardio. I also have to come online and post that I did (or did not) do my daily workout. So this is really 2 fold - keeping me on track with exercise and keeping me posting here.

So today being day one, I have already done my resistance training for today. Now I want a nap lol
