Thanks everyone for posting those mini-victories. It is very motivational and inspirational. I will just be happy if I can finally get out of the 290s. It is slow going for me with certain health problems so I am psyched for every single pound8O)

I'm using 10% of my weight as my mini-goal and that's what I put on my tracker. My goal is to get to that weight by the end of the year. For some reason, my weight really seems to be dropping right now. I'm not exercising a lot, but am definitely keeping my calories in check. I think as my blood sugar drops that I'm releasing fluids as well.

Congrat to You Roma . Have A Fantastic Time At your Christmas Party. Remeber to make Wise Choices. You Can Do It .
Glad to hear so many people are making there mini goals.
I started in October on my journey to a heathier me. Have currently lost 18.5 pounds and am very proud of myself. My first Mini goal was to get under 300. I started at 314. I am proud to say I am now at 294.5 and close to my next mini goal which is under 290. I find 5 or 10 pound increments are great they keep me motivated. Bcz If I look at the big picture and look at the 130 I want to lose It's very scary . So I'm just looking at the next 5 pounds and that doesn't seem so bad. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE . Maybe soon we all will be doing the skinny happy emoticon

Congrats on your mini-milestone!! I think it is SO important to celebrate those STEPPING stones, as the baby steps are what can make or break us on motivation!

I started making a move into healthier living at the beginning of October, when I was at 280. (I joined SP two weeks later, at 275.)

My first goal to NOT gain weight over Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. My second goal was to hit 250 by the end of the year.

First mini-goal: I skipped the candy on Halloween AND I survived Thanksgiving (I even lost a pound over that long weekend!) It was a great motivator for me, plus I know I can make it through Christmas, now!

Second mini-goal: I am currently at 256, with only 6# to go to hit my end-of-the-year goal, so I am REALLY excited!

The icing on the cake (why do we have so many phrases and rewards tied to FOOD??!) was that my office Christmas party is tomorrow night, and I lost enough inches that I've dropped two sizes and will again fit into my favorite party dress, hurrah!

Congrats to ALL of us for hitting those mini-milesones!! ~ Roma

I lost 35 pounds on sparks my next weight milestone is 224 I think it's on my weight chart. I'm doing 10% right now! so now that is like 30 pounds so maybe I should do the 10 pounds instead of % maybe that will be more motivating!

I hit my first mini-milestone today with a total 5 pound loss, after about a month on SP. My next small goal is 289 pounds, and I'm 8 away from that. I'm going to shoot for 10 pound increments, with each one taking me under that next 10's marker (under 290, under 280, etc.). Good job on your 30 pounds!!

Congratulations, that's wonderful!

My next mini-milestones (I'm currently at 196.75):

192 makes 135 pounds (I change my wallpaper on my SparkPage background)

191 takes me from "obese" to "overweight" on the BMI scale.
