The diference is that Shoyu is organic and raw (live enzymes) and better than regular soy sauce that might have other ingredients in them. The shoyu hasn't been pasturized.

I had to look several places but I finally found shoyu at a local organic depot. It is expensive compared to soy sauce but I figured there had to be a major difference health wise. Has anyone looked into the difference? The braised daikon recipe is amazing! love love love it!

The difficult is done at once; the impossible takes a little longer.

Anyone else use this in place of shoyu? (I don't understand why she just doesn't call it soy sauce, but whatevs)

I just made the Braised Daikon with it and the Kikkoman Mirin, and got great results.
