I was watching Dr. Oz the other day and found out that it's not only important to eat 5-7 Freggies each day but it's also very important to vary the colors in order to ensure you are getting enough different vitamins and minerals. With this in mind this week is all about color! We will be tasting the rainbow by choosing a variety of different colored fruits and veggies daily and thereby ensuring we get adequate amounts of many different vitamins and minerals.

Challenge yourself to experiment with a wide variety of colors. Try something new and different rather than sticking to the same routine. Get creative and experiment a little, you just might discover some new favorites, or maybe new flavorful combinations. Make it just a little more interesting! List what you ate under the color and total the number of servings for that color. REMEMBER we should be eating 5-7 servings per day.

RED:

GREEN:

And many more ......Let's aim for at least 3 colors per day on our plates. They do not have to be at the same meal ... just during the same day.
