I think it was posted in my church bulletin this week (I gave it to someone else) that the Infant of Prague Novena starts today.......Makes sense that it ends on Christmas day.

If this is in the wrong place to post this let me know and I'll redirect!

I think I have never really figured out what is the purpose or thought behind a Novena. My church when I was growing up had them, but, in religion class or in church I didn't think it was ever explained in any great detail. It was just listed in the bulletin but never emphasized. I have to admit I was never curious about Novenas back then and it just seemed like another repetitive task so bear with me here!

Any good references or ideas to share so I can learn more about this prayer form?
