I've read that article before. i find it takes a lot of practice to mindfully eat especially when i we have given up our power to live mindfully to strees, Ads, tV ..etc.

Sparkpeople has been a great tool for me to lose weight and keep it off.

I joined this group today and then mindlessly ate a few hours later. BUT, I've read the mindful technique for impulse eating and will try very hard to remember to do it next time. Sometimes just the remembering is what I need. Sometimes the willingness is what I need. Mindfulness is certainly what I need.

I think taking a deep breath is a good way to deal with almost everything - except drowning perhaps.

i find taking a deep breath can also be helpful when i am stressed. I am trying to find ways take my mind off of eating when i am not hungry.
