hey marsha, i used to have the same problem trying to fit in water. what works for me is to use a 32 oz water bottle. fill that baby up twice in one day, and voila, you've met your goal! also, i tend to guzzle a drink when i eat. so i make sure to make my drink water whenever i am eating. now i am able to drink upwards 16 glasses a day (of course less on the day/s i am not working out).

hi jossy,
first thing i would suggest you do is set up a sparkpage for yourself. that way, we can visit you and help you with your goals. make sure to use your nutrition tracker. sorry, i don't have any "easy" ways to lose weight. i think exercise is key though. start small with the exercise, but you should try to do at least 30 minutes 3x a week. just eating right is only half of the equation. i know what it's like to not have enough time to workout, and that is how i got to my current weight. i finally started making the time. i really wish you the best, and please let us know if you need help!

Hi everyone, hope that we are all having fun with our diets and workout programs.
For this week's challenge, I'm proud to share with you guys that I have accomplish everything on the list: I drank my 8cups of water (I always drink more than 8, it's a childhood habit), I did my 30 mins on an Arc Tranner (Love it), I have not finished with my nutrition journal because my day is not over, but I will finish it. I have also one member's page (actually her blog and I think that emotional support is a big plus especially when on this journey.)Lastly, I've updated my blog

Didn't read challenge until 26th... wasn't so good over weekend. Will do better

1. I think I only got 5 or 6 glasses of water in today. 2. Exercised 35 minutes. 3. Journaled food... still having a hard time getting to 1200 (healthy) calories. 4. Sparkmailed a fellow member to cheer her on. 5. No blog as of yet :o)

I wasn't feeling well at all so didn't do so good... still didn't get enough water drank, didn't get my exercise in (other than going up and down my street chasing my dog), didn't eat enough (not feeling well put my appetite off), DID chat with another member but still haven't blogged yet.

This is a slow process but I'm down from 220 to 214.
I've been really busy this past week and I started an online business this week selling nutritional supplements and energy drinks. I'm trying the nutrional drink my self. Both drinks are chocked full of antioxidants. I do feel a change in my energy level and I'm not eating all the time. Hi,

I drink plenty of water
I do not exercise at all
I don't even eat that much
I am older and the weight is remaining no matter what I eat, so I now know that I must exercise and tomorrow I will try.
I don't journal my eating but I will to starting today since I have not had much food.
I do like the Spark community, it's wonderful actually and I wished it worked for me, but so far I am not doing very well. I am unemployed so i can't spend a lot of money on good food, so I don't - I buy bread and baloney, some vegetable and I always have 1-2 fruits in my refrigerator ... I liked your 1-5 system, it seems rational ... Thank you.

#1 - i'm on my way, couldn't find my water bottle at first, but i'm half-way there...
#2 - stepped out for 1 1/2 hrs, ttl cardio portion: 59 minutes, 6,965 aerobic steps
#3 - goes without saying
#4 - posted comment to barb's page
#5 - this is still new for me; maybe by week's end?

good start. i think this challenge is simple but effective, it's tightly focused without being too overwhelming. looking fwd to seeing what tomorrow brings.

Okay team, by now you are familiarizing yourself with Sparks, hope you are taking full advantage of our Nutrition and Exercise trackers.

By Week #3, some of you have had great success and are inspired to continue towards your healthy goals. There are others who are still struggling, so I'm going to through out a challenge for this week to help everyone stay focused on their program.

We will be keeping a daily record on this thread of the following:

1. Drink 8 glasses of water
2. Exercise 30 minutes daily
3. Nutrition - daily journalling
4. Visit one team members Spark Page and leave a positive comment
5. Once this week write a blog about your progress.

See my next message on this thread for your reporting, just copy and paste and post. Each day you come back to this thread and find your message,edit it and write that day's report in.
