How are you recovering from the Holidays? Well, it was sad (ie, my behavior), but I'm looking forward to January.

Is New Year's going to be the last hurdle for awhile? Yoovie, I enyoyed hearing how Mardi Gras was going to be difficult for you, calorie wise. It brought back memories of my days in NOLA, and the Mardi Gras season!!! As I'm older now, the partying has gone down alot!!!

How are you going to keep yourself accountable in teh coming month? I'm looking forward to the routine and stability of January...

Is there anything new that you are tackling in January?
How are you preparing yourself for the new month/year/decade? 2 of my Xmas presents were a stability ball and an omron pedometer, things to make the January boot camp a little more effective!

Sum up your efforts for December. Hmm... well as much as I enjoy the holidays and seeing family, I'm always ready to pack it up and move on to January. I've had enough of excess and I need to get back to the routine.

If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month.

How are you recovering from the hoildays? I am trying to eat less and continue to eat healthier. Making my dinner instead of buying and just saying no to that inner person who says eat the icecream.

Is the new year going to be the last hurdle for awhile? I hope so I really want to get on track and focus on losing the weight and I think the way to do that is with sp.

How are you going to keep yourself accountable? I have always wanted other people to hold me accountable for my actions and that is just not the case. I am going to start logging what I eat and rewarding myself when I accomplish the smallest of losses. Even if its only 3 pounds.

Is there anything new that your tackling in Jan? Bootcamp a new workout plan.

How are you preparing yourself for the new year/month/decade? Being more focused and praying more.

Sum up your efforts for Dec! Really just kind of gave up at the end.

How are you recovering from the Holidays?
I did ok through the holidays. Hard to tell if I actually gained weight. My monthly "friend" came to visit. Holiday prep for me was at a minimum as my Mom made the Christmas dinner. No left overs for me to snack on which was good and bad at the same time. Turkey is best when it is leftover:-) I did bake lots of cookies and had a few little taste tests. I did exercise a lot more to help offset that.

Is New Year's going to be the last hurdle for awhile?
I have not really made any plans for New Year's. We usually have a nice dinner at home. Something special. Watch a movie. I usually pass out watching it. My husband wakes me at midnight to go to bed and it is over. I did want to do something else this year but I'm still checking in with friends/family to see where or what we can do instead.

How are you going to keep yourself accountable in the coming month?
I have been tracking daily. However, I did miss Christmas as we weren't at home and I was away from computer. I am tracking every morsel...even the bad/good stuff:-)

Is there anything new that you are tackling in January?
I have signed up for a 100 day challenge with my Online run group. We did it last year too. We agree to run everyday for a minimum of 30 mins. The winners last year are incredible athletes. It is a tough competition.

How are you preparing yourself for the new month/year/decade?
I just have a greater desire this year then in past years to stop the yoyoing. I just want to feel confident in my body. My forties have been really tough for me. I am ready mentally. I love the weight loss so far and I am using that to keep up my momentum. I have made tracking a habit now and have just got the tracking added to my phone so I can track where ever I have service.

Sum up your efforts for December. I, too, started off strong and though I slipped here and there. I faired much better this year then in the past. I am quite proud of myself. Christmas tends to bring up so many emotional issues for me and as I am an emotional eater this is a problem. I do have strong resolve now to continue in to next year as I have seen I can get through the holidays.

Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. It's a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don't have. It's so simple - yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend.

How are you recovering from the Holidays?

emoticon by preparing my butt off for the next month

Is New Year's going to be the last hurdle for awhile?

emoticon just until Mardi Gras - the amount of alcohol will be thousands upon thousands of calories. will need a good plan.

How are you going to keep yourself accountable in the coming month?

emoticon continuing to track here on SP and working with a personal trainer for the first time in my life.

Is there anything new that you are tackling in January?

emoticon It's my first time being in a training program where I'm not the one calling all the shots. I have a trainer who is going to get me ready for the half this spring and hopefully a full mara this fall. *shudder* *die*

How are you preparing yourself for the new month/year/decade?

emoticon ~see last two days' blogs* lol
lots and lots and lots of preparations, from changing schedules to fit exercise, to gathering all the necessary equipment, so cornering myself

Sum up your efforts for December.

emoticon I started off strong and fell off the wagon horribly at the end when we got 2 feet of snow. I'm talking like, 3 days, without leaving the couch, and eating lots of chocolate. I didn't just fall off the wagon, I didn't even hang on!
BUT, I recognized that my mission was salvageable (is that a word?) and threw myself into preventing it from happening again, and building my own wagon instead, one that will be harder to fall off of :)
