What was (or will be) the easiest healthy thing for you to conquer today? getting together my weekly grocery list for shopping tomorrow- I LOVE THIS PART!!

Were you ambushed? How?? YES! I was given a $20 gift card to Dunkin Donuts! BUT- I'm glad they have DDLite menu :)

Was there a battle raging in your mind back and forth at some point? Who won?? just a small one Re: the hobernation desire :)

What was your biggest victory today? 60 minutes of Pilates- ow it hurts so good!

What was your biggest victory today? Finding time to eat small snacks today, I was really busy at work, no time for lunch. Did not want to get famished and make bad choices.

Candy was passed out at my final! I just took one Hershey Kiss. Almost two- but I didn't give in!

You know that Chick-fil-a I wanted yesterday? Well- I had it today! But I planned- and MAN it was GOOOD!!

Acing A final (I think!) and getting my exercise in, and going to bed early (As soon as I finish this!)

Part One
What was (or will be) the hardest healthy/unhealthy thing for you to wrestle today?

A co-worker from Education gifted me with a small bag of sweet chex mix and peanuts ("puppy chow"). I thanked her and set it on my desk, thinking I might take it home for my DH, but by mid-afternoon it was calling my name. I walked it down the hall and gave it to another co-worker here in the Physics hall.

Got home late from yoga, stopped off for a vegetarian unwich (wrapped in lettuce leaf, instead of bread) from Jimmy John's. And there were cookies in the house and they were tempting me. I said no and went and took a long hot bath.

What was (or will be) the easiest healthy thing for you to conquer today? going to an aerobics class on my lunch hour and my favorite yoga class in the evening (80 minutes worth).

Were you ambushed? the sweets How?? gifted by the well-meaning co-worker although she did state that they might be too sugary for me because she knows that I've worked so hard to get to where I'm at....

Was there a battle raging in your mind back and forth at some point? constantly Who won?? I did!

What was your biggest victory today? Staying in the low 1200's in my calories' range

Did cardio? yes, 45 minutes of step aerobics
Did strength? yes, 15 minutes of overhead press, bicep curls and ab/core work

Reward yourself? added an aromatherapy bath salts package in orange scented Love Peace & Happiness in my bath
Took time to relax and manage stress? the yoga, the hot bath

My DH was talking big about keeping our adult children from going in to too much drama at our family holiday gathering and he used my new workout program as a reference. He said, "well, you can get your "ChaLEAN" on!"

The hardest part for me today was that my family took me out for dinner to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Wow, that is a ton of food!

The easiest healthy thing was working out today. Had an appt with trainer, so I had to show up!

Yes, I was ambushed at the restaurant. Had never been there before, didn't know what I was ordering and there was a lot of food!

Yes, whether to have a cupcake tonight when I got home. I unfortunately did not win.

My biggest victory... got all of my water in, which is a miracle!

Getting in all my goals.. I just started tracking sodium- EESH! Gone over, and over.. and over! Also- exercise. Didn't do any today- I studied!

Only thing that happened was my bf made dinner when I had planned on having something- but its okay, cos he knows about Spark and makes healthy stuff!

oooooooooooh we're getting close! We are on the doorstep of the biggest holiday of the year! The only way to make it through is to keep ourselves just as disciplined on and after the holiday as we are before it. SO I am combining the next two weeks into one challenge. Instead of having a weekly template, I am going to post a template that you can use for the day. The next day you post, you post the template again and fill it out. It will save us from having to scroll all the way down and edit our old ones, etc. It is also so you don't feel like alot of your template looks sorry and empty because you were busy for several days around Christmas, etc.

These challenges are not meant to guilt you into behaving yourself. Quite the opposite! The more you believe in yourself, and the stronger you are in your determination, the easier it will be to stick to your guns. So take the template and post once a day, twice a day, 14 times a day- i don't care, knock yourself out. Post on monday and friday or whatever is best for you. I would LIKE to see you all here everyday though :p

We can do it! But we need to make sure that we are solid in keeping ourselves on track BEFORE the insantiy comes crashing down on us!

So, in the spirit of conquering the little animals inside our tummies and brains that wreak havoc every season, we are going to have a two part challenge aimed at keeping ourselves aware of the big game moments that can throw us completely off track, or keep our eyes focused on the prize.

Part One is simple questions to answer each day. You can answer them at the beginning of the day, so you can commit yourself to doing well throughout the day. OR you can answer them at the end of the day, or the next morning, as an accountability exercise. It's fully up to you!

Part Two is simple data entry. Posting your calories for the day, minutes exercised and I'm going to allow an optional weigh in (this is not mandatory, please don't feel obligated) for our last weigh in day (whenever that was for you) and two weeks from now. We all want to AT LEAST maintain for the holidays so let's try to do this together!
