Week 7 -13

Not a very good week for me some failures & success

Monday 12/07
Fumble: Just ate some chips tonight
Interception: I'm still within my calorie range for the day
TOUCHDOWN!: got my cardio in 25 minutes TL gazelle and 50 crunches before I went ot work

Tuesday 12-08
Fumble: didnt get all my steps in short by 2866 steps
Interception: 20 min of strength training
TOUCHDOWN!: stayed within my calorie range

Wednesday 12-09
Fumble: no water what so ever drank
Interception: calorie range
TOUCHDOWN!: didn't want to and didn't feel like doing cardio & crunches but did them any way

Thursday 12-10
Fumble: Didn't track nutrition? just didnt want ot be bothered
Interception:
TOUCHDOWN!: did some of my xmas shopping ( put it off to the last minute)

Monday
Fumble: I didn't do my scheduled cardio minutes or strength training.
Interception: I'm planning on doing them this evening when I get home from work.
TOUCHDOWN!: I haven't ever exercised this consistently in my life. I also have more endurance than I've probably ever had in my life. I ran my first 5k on Thanksgiving and I'm running another one this Saturday.

Tuesday
Fumble: It's not even lunch time and I've already eaten 3 Snickers minis.
Interception: It's only lunch time and I can rearrange my calories for the day to accommodate them.
TOUCHDOWN!: 2 months ago, I would have eaten the whole bag of Snickers minis! I now have much more self-control than I used to and I actually know how to put a nutritious meal together!

Wednesday
Fumble: Ate way too much Christmas candy
Interception: Got in my exercise before work (since I work late on Wednesdays and probably wouldn't have done it after work)
TOUCHDOWN!: I bought a jacket in a size small. I can't even remember the last time I could fit into a size small!!!

Thursday
Fumble: I ate way too close to bedtime and went a little over my calorie range goal.
Interception: I went to bed early, got 9 hours of sleep, and was determined to make Friday a brand new day!
TOUCHDOWN!: I broke into the 140's weight range today. I haven't been in the 140's in at least 2 years.

Friday
Fumble: I ate a piece of chocolate cream pie at lunch, even though I didn't even really want it. It wasn't even that good!
Interception: I've eaten SUPER healthy all day today (besides that). I also got in a really good workout this morning and have been feeling good all day.
TOUCHDOWN!: I'm running my second 5k tomorrow morning. A few months ago, I couldn't even run a mile. I'm going to sign up to run a local half marathon in April!


New tradition ideas for letting go of 2009!
* Write down all the things I didn't like about myself in 2009 on a piece of paper and BURN that piece of paper!
* Write down all the things I LOVE about myself and hang that piece of paper on the refrigerator or somewhere else where I'll see it often.
* Buy some new clothes, because soon the ones I have now will be big enough that I won't be able to wear them anymore!

Fumble: Impulse ate food that was not on my meal plan for the day.
Interception: Realized what I was doing and put that food away (in the freezer!) so that it was only a little stumble.
TOUCHDOWN!: Worked out for the first time in weeks.

Tuesday
Fumble: Let excuses get in the way of doing what I know to do.
Interception: Keep up with my sparkteams to find the motivation to overcome the excuses.
TOUCHDOWN!: I've worked a full day's fruit's and veggies into my diet almost every day this week. That's a first...ever!

Wednesday
Fumble: Don't have my food planned for today or the rest of the week.
Interception: Am working out a shopping list and a plan to stay on track.
TOUCHDOWN!: Since I didn't have lunch planned I had the choice of a fried shrimp po boy or a healthy sub for lunch. I chose the healthy option. Wait...I can have control over what I choose to eat? Fabulous!

Thursday
Fumble: I was craving chocolate and ate about 7 hand-fulls of chocolate chips.
Interception: I made the connection that if I skip my afternoon snack and let myself get too hungry it makes me overeat the rest of the day even if I've filled up on something healthy later. I'm noticing trends now.
TOUCHDOWN!: The scales have finally started moving again. Maybe I'm over the plateau?

Fumble: lunch = 2 poptarts

Interception: dinner = free range chicken sauteed in olive oil with veggies from the farmer's market, carrots, peppers, baby potatoes, mushrooms

TOUCHDOWN!: I ran a 5K in 26 minutes!!!!!

Fumble: skipped breakfast- a growing problem now that I have stopped stopping for coffee on my way in

Interception: had a huge amount of double veggies on my turkey sandwich for lunch, and water, even though I'm craving a cherry coke something FIERCE. No caffeine, yoovie!

TOUCHDOWN!: I bought an outfit from Delia's (famous for small cut clothing sizes) earlier this year that I couldn't even get up past my knees, or get my arms all the way into the sleeves. I wore it to work today :)

Interception: had a great strength workout, though!

TOUCHDOWN!: I'm going to run in the NYC Half Marathon in march!!!!

Interception: had two FANTASTIC meals for lunch and dinner, made from scratch, very healthy and SOOOOOOO delicious!

TOUCHDOWN!: I ran my training run even though the windchill was 7 degrees and there was the strongest wind ever coming off the harbor. My face hurt like ice!!!!!!!!

Each day, choose something you did that day OR THIS YEAR that you see as a fumble on your weightloss journey. Write it out and forgive yourself.

For every fumble you admit to, choose something you did that day OR THIS YEAR that helped make up for that fumble, in other words, an Interception.

ALSO- choose one thing from that day OR THIS YEAR that you felt was a TOUCHDOWN on your way to your goal. It could be that you have officially lost a certain number of sizes, that you ran a 5k//marathon/to the mailbox - doesn't matter. Some big achievement in your life = Touchdown.

Bonus: Think of a creative way to do something to forgive yourself for all the mistakes in the past year. Whether it is letting balloons go, one for each pound you lost, or burning an old mixtape in a wheelbarrow. You have to get rid of the old to make room for the new!

Monday
Fumble: didn't do strength training because gym was crowded
Interception: ran 5 xtra minutes on the treadmill
TOUCHDOWN!: cooked at home for myself

Tuesday
Fumble:didn't do lower body work out because I was tired
Interception:did stair stepper for 20 minutes because I didn't do lower body work out
TOUCHDOWN!:ran my middle mile on the treadmill in 11 minutes

Wednesday
Fumble:gave up on trying to follow meal plans exactly
Interception:ate "leftovers" but stayed on my nutrition goals
TOUCHDOWN!: maintained my current weight

Thursday
Fumble:forgot to drink my water this morning
Interception:prepped all my vegitables for upcoming meals
TOUCHDOWN!:4 miles on the treadmill, 2, 11 minute miles

Friday:
Fumble:did not try to put on pants that previously were "uncomfortable" because I was too afraid they still would be
Interception:Remembered my water
Touchdown:Tried turkey bacon - yummy!

BONUS:I teach archery, so I'm going to shoot holes in my list of fumbles until I can't read it anymore.

Fumble:I didn't track foods during day, so I ate too little.
Interception:Found it before the end of the day so I got to enjoy milk and strawberry toast before bed, yummy!
TOUCHDOWN!:Hubby and I played a rowing race at the gym and I WON! WooHoo!

Tuesday
Fumble: I am not asleep by 9pm, It's 10:30pm now.
Interception:Will turn my computer off in 5 mins and forgive myself.
TOUCHDOWN!:I've been to the gym at 5am and I'm a stay at home mom!

Wednesday
Fumble:Only did 15 minutes of cardio today.
Interception:Getting to bed early tonight so I can get to the gym at 5am tomorrow, again!
TOUCHDOWN!:It's been 4 months and I am 7 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight!

Thursday
Fumble:Didn't make it to the gym this morning.
Interception:I pushed myself pretty fierce on my stationary bike for 41 mins and worked harder during commercials.
TOUCHDOWN!:In October, my husband told me about this neat site to try, he called it "Spark People"!

Fumble:Went over my limit on sodium today.
Interception: made sure that I stayed in range for the rest of my daily goals.
TOUCHDOWN!: Ran 3.25 miles today.

Tuesday
Fumble:I am sick today and just could not bring myself to do my cardio.
Interception: I did 40 minutes of strength training.
TOUCHDOWN!: Ate a healthy dinner, even though the restaurant behind my house was serving my favorite dinner special.

Wednesday
Fumble:forgot to eat breakfast before my workout and was not able to work out as hard
Interception:Pushed through it anyway. Reminding myself that I have to eat before morning workouts!!
TOUCHDOWN!:Stayed within my ranges today.

Thursday
Fumble:waited to long to eat between breakfast and lunch.
Interception:Ate, but kept it healthy even though my temptation monster tried to tell me otherwise.
TOUCHDOWN!:ran 4.75 miles at the gym.

Friday
Fumble:went out to dinner and went about 100 calories over goal today.
Interception:Didnt let myself go totally crazy at dinner, tried to make the best choices I could.
TOUCHDOWN!: Ate really healthy for breakfast and lunch so I had a little wiggle room at dinner.


Saturday
Fumble:Ate and drank too much last night
Interception:Ate really healthy all day, try to curb some of the damage.
TOUCHDOWN!: Worked out really hard all week in anticipation of this night.

Sunday
Fumble:continued to just eat whatever I wanted without keeping track.
Interception:Drank a ton of water
TOUCHDOWN!:kept up with this challenge all week and has a lot more awareness of what I am doing right and wrong.

Interception: Split the package with my sister (instead of buying us each our own)
TOUCHDOWN!:Walked to the Post Office, and Weight Trained for the first time in a week!

Tuesday
Fumble:Slept in later than I wanted to.
Interception:Going to try to get up without hitting the snooze tomorrow.
TOUCHDOWN!:Went for a great run with my sister today!

Monday
Fumble: I consumed 4 slices of pizza today
Interception: so far, I have had 4 cups of water
TOUCHDOWN!: Did 25min of Cardio Salsa Dancing
(the only way I figure I can forgive myself for the consumption of so much crap is by doing extra cardio tomorrow)

Ok, here I go!...I also need to work on the letting go...we'll see what I can come up with :)

OK guys, I have been dreadfully inactive, and it shows in my weight and my feelings about myself. I plan on being more involved from now on. I am sick of feeling this way :(

Fumble: (last night) I had already eaten dinner and was in my range when my husband came home with Chinese food. I ended up having a second dinner and felt really bad about myself, all of my pants and skirts are tight.

Interception: Today I have been tracking, everything, and I pretracked my dinner to see if it was in my range, it is a little bit over, but not much, I will try to leave some behind. I also came here and am posting :D

TOUCHDOWN!: I was able to lose almost 10 pounds when I first started out here, so I know it can be done!!

I'm going to try and really think about LETTING GO of 2009...more to come...wanted to paste the template

Each day, choose something you did that day OR THIS YEAR that you see as a fumble on your weightloss journey. Write it out and forgive yourself.

For every fumble you admit to, choose something you did that day OR THIS YEAR that helped make up for that fumble, in other words, an Interception.

ALSO- choose one thing from that day OR THIS YEAR that you felt was a TOUCHDOWN on your way to your goal. It could be that you have officially lost a certain number of sizes, that you ran a 5k//marathon/to the mailbox - doesn't matter. Some big achievement in your life = Touchdown.

Bonus: Think of a creative way to do something to forgive yourself for all the mistakes in the past year. Whether it is letting balloons go, one for each pound you lost, or burning an old mixtape in a wheelbarrow. You have to get rid of the old to make room for the new!

Week 7 -13

sounds good to me though I will have to think about touchdown doesn't come to mind anything yet.

Monday 12/07
Fumble: Just ate some chips tonight
Interception: I'm still within my calorie range for the day
TOUCHDOWN!: got my cardio in 25 minutes TL gazelle and 50 crunches before I went ot work

Tuesday 12-08
Fumble: didnt get all my steps in short by 2866 steps
Interception: 20 min of strength training
TOUCHDOWN!: stayed within my calorie range

Wednesday 12-09
Fumble: no water what so ever drank
Interception: calorie range
TOUCHDOWN!: didn't want to and didn't feel like doing cardio & crunches but did them any way

Thursday 12-10
Fumble: Didn't track nutrition? just didnt want ot be bothered
Interception:
TOUCHDOWN!: did some of my xmas shopping ( put it off to the last minute)

Friday 12-11
Fumble: fast food for dinner
Interception: did some cardio & crunches
TOUCHDOWN!: Not giving up :)

Saturday 12-12
Fumble: major fumble for the week side tracked
Interception: steps for today 11456
TOUCHDOWN!: Xmas tree all decorated

Monday: fumble: didn't track most of last week while moving my mother.

intercepion: picked back up this week with tracking and spark points.

touchdown: a pair of pants I used to wear cannot be worn anymore! They are too baggy and fall down!


Tues: fumble: went over my fat allowance for the day.

interception: Got out this morning and shoveled the driveway.

touchdown: Can shovel at a faster pace and not get all winded and tired out!

Wed: fumble:

interception:

touchdown

Thurs: fumble: drank a diet soda and I'm trying to do no soda

interception: made sure I got all my water in also.

touchdown: feel good in the clothes I'm wearing to go shopping tonight. Wouldn't have worn this shirt before because it was too tight and too short - didn't cover enough of me!

Fri: fumble:went over my fat allowance again! and under my carbs.

interception: drank all my water again and then some.

touchdown: measurements today were good. Lost 1 1/2 inches .

Sat: fumble: ate some fried potatoes for breakfast!!!

interception: am not eating lunch but will have a healthy snack then planned a healthy venison stew for dinner - lots of veges.

touchdown: I'm actually looking forward to exercising now!!
