Thanks for the creative and EXTREMELY helpful challenge! I couldn't have gotten through Halloween (without eating "major candy") if not for this challenge.

Thank you for a great challenge!! Congrats everyone! I am so proud of myself that this challenge helped me to not touch any Halloween candy but I am still sooo discourage with these dumb scales!!!!! I know that if I had NOT done the challenge I would have gained a significant amount because if I start with candy I don't stop!! haha So all in all it was great for me!!! Thanks!!

I'm scared of doing too much and cutting calories to the point where my body enters "starvation mode." I'm also scared that I won't see any progress/plateu and then stop my diet because I feel it's not working. I am worried I will not succeed and this time next year I won't just have 15 pounds to lose but 20 or more. I have been finding it very hard turning 40. I am now 42 when this should have been forgotten but it has not. I felt at my physical best at 35. I was for the first time ever in my life confident about my body and health. I wasn't afraid to go to the beach let's just say that. I am afraid that will be my only time in my life where I had that kind of self confidence.

Not sure how many points this affords me. ??? I think 19.

I think I am out of the bonus area. I have had snacks that are sugary. I have only one prepackaged snack and still stay within in my caloric count for the day. I use it to wind down at night. One cup of tea and 100 calorie snack. This is it.

The calorie portion will be very easy, since I have only went over once since I started, but the no junk is a real challenge considering my birthday is the 29th and my family is having a triple birthday party on Halloween. And of course all family gettogethers involve a lot of food. Darn and that also means I can't eat any more of the cake I made for my roomie's birthday yesterday.

I am very proud of myself. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to stay away from the junk. When the temptation was too high I just substituted a healthy, but yummy snack for the junk like a low fat frozen yogurt bar or a few crackers with fat free cream cheese. Satisfied the craving without adding a lot of calories or sugar.

The one thing that scares me about losing weight it putting it all back on again. I have spent a lifetime of going up and down. In my twenties, I was able to maintain a steady weight, but since having kids I haven't been able to keep it off. I am afraid that this time won't be any different.

Monday: Completed!
Tuesday: Yes!!! Trip to Cheesecake factory and STILL ended the day with 100+ calories to spare!
Wednesday:Just barely, but made it!
Thursday: Did it with flying colors!
Friday: Went to a party, prepared, and STILL made it!!!
Saturday: Yep!!!
Sunday:Did AWESOME today!!!

B) I am afraid of letting myself down. Seems I always get to the upper 170s and end up sabatoging myself.

Monday: Lots of Halloween candy already in our house from the kids school festival. I'm staying away from it though!!!!!!!!
Tuesday: Went to the Cheesecake factory for dinner. Still did good!

Thursday: Went to a big party with the kids, no candy... even surrounded by chocolate!
Friday: Yup!!!! Surrounded by candy, none for me!
Saturday: Had some low car pumpkin tarts, but they were nutritionally sound!
Sunday: So proud to have made it the WHOLE week!!!!

TRICK OR TREAT CHALLENGE - October 26 - November 1

Will you use your willpower to TRICK your mind or give in to temptation this week and TREAT yourself!

We're going to have a bit of fun with the challenge this week... Next to your name please choose a "Costume" that you wish to associate yourself with for the challenge! The details of this challenge are a bit different being that it's a 3 part challenge as defined below!!!

First your goal is to stay in that calorie range and watch what we are eating! Second we will define 1 thing that scares us about making this lifestyle change... it can be something that scares you about failing or succeeding! Put your mind to work here, everyone has a fear about losing weight! The third part is a bonus challenge to keep everyone from eating that dreaded Halloween candy that is flooding the stores, offices, homes etc this week and the coming week!

A) Stay within your calorie range all seven days for TWENTY points. If you do not get all seven days, your max points for the week are FOUR and you are not eligible for bonus challenge points!!

B) Define one thing that scares you about losing weight AND/OR taking this journey and succeeding at your goals! You will earn FIFTEEN points for this portion of the challenge!
