Week 4 will be a longer one, running from Sunday, October 23rd to Monday, October 31st. Here is your GHOSTly challenge:

G – Get up and do it!
Cardio, cardio, and more cardio… This is what will be the main factor in helping us keep off the extra pounds from our indulgences. You know, the ones that are inevitable as the weather cools and the treats come out. Earn 25 points for every 15 minutes of deliberate cardio you complete and post on your SP Fitness Tracker each day. You’ll also earn 25 points for every 50 calories you burn each day.

H – Have to drink it!
As much as we may not always want to drink water, it really does help replenish our bodies after we workout. It also helps flush our systems of some of the bad things we don’t want in there. For each day that you drink at least 64 oz, you will earn 25 points.

O – Out with the old!
This is the time of year when we start pulling out the warm clothes and putting the summer clothes away. We’re going to use this week to eliminate the things in our life that we no longer need. Choose one room or area in your home each day to organize and eliminate those items you no longer need or that are no good. Tell us which area you selected and what you did in that room and you’ll earn 50 points.

S – Stop talking and lift!
I’ve come to realize by reading through the blogs each week is that strength training seems to be one area where many of us really struggle. Some think that you have to have weights or special equipment. Others think that if they do strength training they’ll get bulky and look more masculine. These things aren’t true! If you’re willing to stop saying you’ll try it and just start doing it, you may be surprised at how good you feel afterward. For every day that you complete 5 different strength training (a minimum of 2 sets with at least 15 reps in each set), you will earn 50 points.

T – Tell us about your day!
Your teammates and I love to read about your day in your blogs. For each day that you post a blog telling us about your day, you will earn 25 points. In addition, we’ll be substituting this week’s Weekly Update Blog with our Monthly Update Blog. Rather than posting on Friday or Saturday, you will be required to post on Monday. I know it’s Halloween so many people will be out trick-or-treating with their kids… You don’t have to wait until the end of the day to post. The key points you have to post in your Montly Update Blog are:
- Tell us one by one what the goals you set for yourself back on October 3rd (or later if you missed it) were.
- Tell us one by one how you did with meeting each of the goals you set for yourself this month.
Your MUB is worth 200 points. If you fail to post one, you will lose 200 points. In addition, for those of you who have already missed a Weekly Update Blog this month, you want to be sure to post this or your points will not be considered with your team since it would result in immediate elimination.

So as we move into Week 4, we are facing the first of many holidays in our big Holiday Season – Halloween. This is when many of us begin to struggle with our weightloss as the candy and sweets come out and linger for the next three months. Between parties, festivals, fairs, and whatever else is thrown our way, we have to learn to leave the GHOSTs of our past behind us and think about who we want to be in the future. That is what will help us focus on the goals we have set for ourselves.

Week 4 will be a longer one, running from Sunday, October 23rd to Monday, October 31st. Here is your GHOSTly challenge:

G – Get up and do it!
Cardio, cardio, and more cardio… This is what will be the main factor in helping us keep off the extra pounds from our indulgences. You know, the ones that are inevitable as the weather cools and the treats come out. Earn 25 points for every 15 minutes of deliberate cardio you complete and post on your SP Fitness Tracker each day. You’ll also earn 25 points for every 50 calories you burn each day.

H – Have to drink it!
As much as we may not always want to drink water, it really does help replenish our bodies after we workout. It also helps flush our systems of some of the bad things we don’t want in there. For each day that you drink at least 64 oz, you will earn 25 points.

O – Out with the old!
This is the time of year when we start pulling out the warm clothes and putting the summer clothes away. We’re going to use this week to eliminate the things in our life that we no longer need. Choose one room or area in your home each day to organize and eliminate those items you no longer need or that are no good. Tell us which area you selected and what you did in that room and you’ll earn 50 points.

S – Stop talking and lift!
I’ve come to realize by reading through the blogs each week is that strength training seems to be one area where many of us really struggle. Some think that you have to have weights or special equipment. Others think that if they do strength training they’ll get bulky and look more masculine. These things aren’t true! If you’re willing to stop saying you’ll try it and just start doing it, you may be surprised at how good you feel afterward. For every day that you complete 5 different strength training (a minimum of 2 sets with at least 15 reps in each set), you will earn 50 points.

T – Tell us about your day!
Your teammates and I love to read about your day in your blogs. For each day that you post a blog telling us about your day, you will earn 25 points. In addition, we’ll be substituting this week’s Weekly Update Blog with our Monthly Update Blog. Rather than posting on Friday or Saturday, you will be required to post on Monday. I know it’s Halloween so many people will be out trick-or-treating with their kids… You don’t have to wait until the end of the day to post. The key points you have to post in your Montly Update Blog are:
- Tell us one by one what the goals you set for yourself back on October 3rd (or later if you missed it) were.
- Tell us one by one how you did with meeting each of the goals you set for yourself this month.
Your MUB is worth 200 points. If you fail to post one, you will lose 200 points. In addition, for those of you who have already missed a Weekly Update Blog this month, you want to be sure to post this or your points will not be considered with your team since it would result in immediate elimination.
