S – Strength
. You will need to complete at least 5 different exercises with at least 2 sets of 15 reps. The 5 exercises you choose should focus on one specific part of your body in order to count (ie. core, lower body, upper body). You will earn 50 points for each day that you success. All Strength Training exercises must be posted on your SP Tracker in order to be counted. Your Challenge Post must specify which part of your body you focused on.
** In order to get any of the ST points you earn this week, you must complete at least 3 days of the minimum requirements for this section.

U – U Need It (Water)
Drinking all of your water each day will get you 25 points. Your Challenge Post should specify how many ounces of water you drank.
** In order to get any of the Water points you earn this week, you must succeed in drinking 64 oz at least 5 days.

C – Cardio
You will earn 50 points for the first 100 calories burned and 1 points for every 5 calories after that. All Cardio exercises must be posted on your SP Tracker in order to be counted. Your Challenge Post should specify only the number of calories you burned through Cardio.
** In order to get any of the Cardio points you earn this week, you must burn at least 100 calories through Cardio at least 3 days.

C – Calories
One of the keys to losing weight is watching how many calories you take in each day. This means you’ll need to track your foods. For each day that you stay within your SP target, you will earn 50 points. Everything you take in should be posted on your SP Tracker. Your Challenge Post should specify your final calorie count for the day.
** In order to get any of the Calories points you earn this week, you must end the day within your range at least 3 days.

E – Energy (Fruits and Veggies)
For the first 3 servings of freggies that you have each day, you will earn 25 points. Additional servings will earn you 5 points each. All freggies should already be included on your SP Tracker as part of your Calories section. On your Challenge Post, please tell us the number of freggie servings you had each day.
** In order to get any of the Energy points you earn this week, you must have 3 or more freggies servings at least 3 days.

S – Sleep
We are going to strive for 6 hours each night to earn 25 points. On your Challenge Post, please tell us the number of hours you managed to get each night.
** In order to get any of the Sleep points this week, you must get 6 hours or more at least 5 days.

S – Save Some Time to Relax
For each day that you take at least 15 minutes to relax, you will earn 25 points. On your Challenge Post, please tell us what you did to relax each day.
** To earn the points for this section for the week, you must earn the points at least 3 days.

There is only one additional requirement for the week – our Monthly Update Blog. On Friday, you must post a blog that summarizes how September has treated you. What goals did you set that you have achieved or not quite reached. What were your strengths and weaknesses? You will earn 200 points for your MUB or lose 200 points for failing to post one

It’s the final week of September so we’re going to push ourselves just a little harder this week. This week is a short one, running from Sunday, Sept. 25 thru Friday, Sept. 30. We are striving for SUCCESS during this last week. We have worked on all of the essentials during the month and now we’re going to put it all together. And since it is the last week, there will be minimum requirements to earn your points for each section for the week. There is a lot to this week’s challenge, so please read carefully. It may seem overwhelming at first, but when you think about it, these are all things we should be doing to lose weight anyway. Here is your challenge for Week 4.

emoticon S – Strength
All month we have worked on our Strength Training to help boost our metabolism. This week we’re going to be a little more specific. You will need to complete at least 5 different exercises with at least 2 sets of 15 reps. The 5 exercises you choose should focus on one specific part of your body in order to count (ie. core, lower body, upper body). You will earn 50 points for each day that you success. All Strength Training exercises must be posted on your SP Tracker in order to be counted. Your Challenge Post must specify which part of your body you focused on.
** In order to get any of the ST points you earn this week, you must complete at least 3 days of the minimum requirements for this section.

emoticon U – U Need It (Water)
To earn your Water points each day, you will need to drink at least 64 oz of water, flavored with nothing more than a squeeze of citrus. Drinking all of your water each day will get you 25 points. Your Challenge Post should specify how many ounces of water you drank.
** In order to get any of the Water points you earn this week, you must succeed in drinking 64 oz at least 5 days.

emoticon C – Cardio
Yes, Cardio is in it’s own category this week. And the way you earn points is also changing. Throughout the month we’ve earned points based on the number of Cardio minutes we’ve completed. This week, we’re going to earn points based on the number of calories we burn. You will earn 50 points for the first 100 calories burned and 1 points for every 5 calories after that. All Cardio exercises must be posted on your SP Tracker in order to be counted. Your Challenge Post should specify only the number of calories you burned through Cardio.
** In order to get any of the Cardio points you earn this week, you must burn at least 100 calories through Cardio at least 3 days.

emoticon C – Calories
One of the keys to losing weight is watching how many calories you take in each day. This means you’ll need to track your foods. For each day that you stay within your SP target, you will earn 50 points. Everything you take in should be posted on your SP Tracker. Your Challenge Post should specify your final calorie count for the day.
** In order to get any of the Calories points you earn this week, you must end the day within your range at least 3 days.

emoticon E – Energy (Fruits and Veggies)
One way that we can help give ourselves energy is by eating more fruits and veggies. Whether it’s fresh, in a drink, or as part of a dish, we need to get them in. For the first 3 servings of freggies that you have each day, you will earn 25 points. Additional servings will earn you 5 points each. All freggies should already be included on your SP Tracker as part of your Calories section. On your Challenge Post, please tell us the number of freggie servings you had each day.
** In order to get any of the Energy points you earn this week, you must have 3 or more freggies servings at least 3 days.

emoticon S – Sleep
We all know that 8 hours of sleep each night is difficult as a busy parent. We are going to strive for 6 hours each night to earn 25 points. On your Challenge Post, please tell us the number of hours you managed to get each night.
** In order to get any of the Sleep points this week, you must get 6 hours or more at least 5 days.

emoticon S – Save Some Time to Relax
Part of what helps a person succeed in weightloss, is putting yourself first. Your body has to get a break, even if it’s only a few minutes each day. For each day that you take at least 15 minutes to relax, you will earn 25 points. On your Challenge Post, please tell us what you did to relax each day.
** To earn the points for this section for the week, you must earn the points at least 3 days.

emoticon There is only one additional requirement for the week – our Monthly Update Blog. On Friday, you must post a blog that summarizes how September has treated you. What goals did you set that you have achieved or not quite reached. What were your strengths and weaknesses? You will earn 200 points for your MUB or lose 200 points for failing to post one.

Good luck to everyone – this will definitely be the deciding week in which team wins the September Challenge!
