A partner seems just what I need!

I'm a mom of three who was never thin but never worried much about my weight (when I was younger). I gained a lot of weight my first year of teaching, but didn't notice until it was too late. The past few years the pounds have slowly gone up.

Now, I'm not so much looking for a diet as I am to adjust things, to be a little healthier, to drop the weight a little at a time. I want to learn to be healthy, not just diet and feel bad when it doesn't work. I have a HUGE amount to lose though, and I'm committed to losing it.

Your story sounds exactly like mine.... or may I say the story seems to be the same for every mom! Welcome back to Spark and all my best wishes for starting over. We all can do it wid a lil support and determination.... and mind you...your baby will help you the most. ":D

Hello! I am a 28 year old momma to an 11 month old wonderful little boy. Before being pregnant I worked out all the time and was very active on Spark. Then I was pregnant and was sick almost the entire 9 months and got out of habit. But I want to start taking care of me again. Between being a mom, wife, and social worker I feel like I put everyone as a priority and sometimes just forget about me. I am terrible at saying I have no time, but I have been really noticing lately that once my son goes to bed I often just sit around and veg out (I use the excuse that I am so tired from work and mommy duties... but its an excuse and that's all). I love to do cardio or cardio with weights. I typically do videos at home (I love biggest loser... I think I do better with tough TV trainers and people who look real emoticon ). I would love to have a check in partner to help me get back into the swing of things. As I said my biggest downfall is the time excuse but making sure I eat healthy is an issue too as I have gotten in the habit of eating quick which I don't know if I know how to do quick and healthy anymore. However, once I get going again I am great at sticking to a routine and I am good at checking in with supports. Well, this sounds like a lot... but if you want a sparkfriend to check in with let me know! I am so excited to see this team back up and running!

Hello Everyone! I think setting up this forum to find a partner is a great idea! I just turned 30 and have a 3 month old. Jett is my first child and he is so much fun and amazes me everyday. Due to gallbladder issues I lost my baby weight plus some so now I want to make sure I wont gain it back and I would like to lose more. I want to be healthy and show Jett how to be healthy. Before I became pregnant I was doing good with weight loss and was doing BodyRock. Now it is really hard to find time to exercise. I work full time so I try to spend as much time with my little man as I can. I try to get up at 4 am after feeding him to go for a run or BodyRock but man o man it's hard to not go back to bed and get another hour of sleep. I would love a buddy to bounce ideas back and forth and keep me accountable. I will try and do the same for you! The more buddies the better!!

Hey ladies..this is Mita, mom of a 7 month old. I gained almost 24 kg with my son Aurik ad so far lost 16 of it. I used to be a regular at Spark before pregnancy and love doing exercises ;)
but everythings changed ever since I started gaining weight last year. I had a C section and even after 7 odd months since delivery working out still seems like one of the more difficult jobs on earth.
Being a mother keeps me on my toes most of the time im awake.. and may be this is the reason im still losing , but being the athletic person I always was, it pains to find so little of energy and so much of difficulty when I try to work out.

Hopefully things will gradually fall in place and in some time I will again start running(used to be my fav). Joined back Spark for my lost accountability and Inspiration.

you are the first one lol...but I am sure that once people see this team is back up and running things will change. I just took over the team a couple days ago and I am trying to get it to be affective for everyone. If you have any ideas on how to help this team and make it more exciting please feel free to let me know :) As for an accountability partner I would be more than happy to be your partner.

wow first one lol ok here is a start lol..... my name is tammy, i am 28 (29 this month) i have a 5 yr old and a 4 yr old, i live in ny and currently a stay at home mom while my other half works like crazy..... i feel that weight loss is hard for me because my weight does not drop. i mean i have been doing this for 2 months and have only lost 17 lbs. my measurements as well are the same way, even though i can see the difference! i like to walk and go to the beach, i am going to do a 5k next summer w a friend (the one that got me started here) and so far we have done it in 53 minutes!!! our goal is 40.... lets see.... i love animals and cooking ( fresh fruits and veggies) i have a huge garden too, i find that it is not to hard to change my diet and eat the right things, but i find it hard when there is alot of times that i am hungry..... i would love to be partners w anyone, im fun and supportive and 95% of the time happy..... (i feel like this is a dateing website lol) if i seem like a good partner let me know hahaha emoticon

In this forum you can post a little something about yourself. I think it is great to have a partner that you can share victories, set backs, or daily vents with. Everyone needs that one "go-to" person to keep them motivated during their weight loss. So feel free to find your go-to person so you can find someone to share your journey with :)
