There are tennis courts behind some of the schools, walking trails are all over. You can go online for help too. Some of the parks have tennis courts too. I am awful at tennis, but its a great workout!

Hiking and tennis courts? Who is the lucky one? That sounds awesome. I wish I had some hiking trails nearby! Thanks for sharing.

I am an indoor exerciser in many ways. I love to hula hoop and use the Gazelle. Good luck in your search.

Wish I had some ideas for you but since I am new to being fit, most things are new to me :) I must say my favorite form of exercise is swimming... I'm also a closet fan of renting exercise tapes from the library to challenge myself when I don't have the luxury of leaving the house... if you find something fun, let us know!

The only place I know of that has racquetball courts is the Memorial Athletic Club in West Houston (Dairy Ashford & Memorial Dr). I am sure there are courts at other clubs also.

I love spinning classes. I prefer to take class with instructors who also ride road bikes (because their class is more focused on improving cycling technique), but the classes themselves are always really fun - high intensity, great music, fun. I am training for a triahtlon, so my workouts are pretty focused on those activities.

Have you looked for tennis clubs in the area? I would imagine there are some clubs around that you could join.

There is a calendar of stuff going on at Mary Jo Peckham community center and pool, but its usually very low intensity stuff designed for older people.

Hope that helps. It definitely helps to do new things and fun things to keep your interest high.

Jane

I wanted to find out what everyone was doing around Katy for exercise options. I am interested in doing something new. Does anyone know of a place where you can play racquetball? What are your favorite activities? Thanks in advance for sharing.
