I too prefer fish oil due to the deterioration concerns with flax seed.

I've read the same thing, that once ground some of the nutrients begin to deteriorate. I use to take flaxseed oil but, oddly, it made me retain water in my feet really badly, so I switched to fish oil.

I have been buying ground flaxseed ("meal") but am reading now It's better to buy the whole seeds and grind them yourself. Any thoughts on this?
