I'm getting back to flyin' again after a bad Saturday.

BODACIOUSCHICK - On the IF, one team member of the 5:2 team has captured quotes from the Fast diet book. You might check them out. I tend to hypoglycemia, too. I always eat a high fiber/protein breakfast and usually do OK until an early supper. Occasionally I miss breakfast because of stuff I can't control, but those have been low exercise days so far and I did OK.

MAGNOLIA416 - Yeah, life happens and we have to know that and not beat ourselves up about it. I hope you had a great time! It's not a problem as long as you never give up.

Hi! I was travelling last week and got quite off track! Did some exercising (yoga, zumba, weights, hiking) the first few days but then I was helping with my cousin's wedding plus eating carbs and sugar and drinking a bit of wine and beer. I got home Sunday night, rested last night and this morning I went to the gym! I'm flyin' again!

Thanks for the info STILLFLYIN! I'm definitely intrigued and quite curious how IF will work for/with someone with hypoglycemia. I feel like I'm having to consume something balanced every few hours or I feel wonky and disoriented. I may check in with my Dr and hear his thoughts. I know so many people who are seeing amazing results and commenting positively about energy levels and general overall feelings of awesomeness since beginning IF. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

That sounds like it takes a lot of self-discipline!

I got off track with my goals while travelling but I'm back on track now. I've logged all my food 3 days in a row now.

There are several versions of IF. I've been doing the 5:2 one, eating 500 calories on 2 days (Monday and Thursday usually for me) and normal the rest of the week. I like the flexibility to change my eating schedule as needed. I'm on a 5:2 SP team, if you would like to check it out. You can follow the link in my teams list on my SparkPage. Lots of info there.

There are long term health benefits that make it worth while, even if not losing a lot of weight. I am losing weight on it, though.

I started doing the intermittent fasting thing a few months ago. The version that I'm doing really isn't fasting, it's more light eating a couple days a week. Anyway, I stopped it while I was sick but now am back to it. Yay!

Excellent!

I wrote out some weight loss goals and emailed them to a couple friends...the chart is out there so I feel like I have to make those benchmarks happen!

I've been getting up when I could be sleeping in (summer and all) this week and getting in morning workouts. This is huge for me as I love sleeping in.
