I do both of those too!

In fact, I *only* let myself watch certain (favorite - cheesy) SciFi shows when I'm on the elliptical.

And I love to have little dance breaks when I'm waiting for things in the kitchen (like the kettle to boil or the microwave to run or between batches of whatever in the oven). Lately, I've been trying to include some strength in those bouts of waiting, like doing tricep dips or incline pushups off the kitchen counter.

I'm seriously considering adding "squat breaks" into my life as well...

I read that breaking up your exercise into three energetic ten minute efforts through the day can help your triglycerides to be lower. Triglycerides are a challenge for me so I'm trying that out these days. I've found that while I might have to think hard to schedule 30 or more minutes, I can fit in 10 minutes easy and often do more than 10 minutes. I'm mostly doing rebounding / mini trampoline stuff with added light arm weight exercises.

Of course doing that first 10 minutes shortly after I first get up is kind of hard.

Great idea!

The gym that I sometimes go to has televisions attached to the treadmills. My foot doctor told me to not use treadmills, so I walk the track when I go there. I listen to audio books while walking. Mysteries are great since I won't let myself listen any other time and I really want to know who done it so I walk longer.

Treadmill boring you to tears?
Find a favorite TV show or mini series.
Plug in and tune out, and before you know it you'll have knocked out 15-60 minutes (depending on the show).

I'm currently making my way through House and Once Upon a Time.
