I love reflecting on the past year. I did not get to the 99 I had hoped for by New Year but I am still working on it even as the New year gets under way. Mine had a lot to do with family--we had a tumultuous year with some illness and challenges but we made it through. Others on my list had to do with just the daily blessings that we take for granted--being healthy, being able to talk, walk etc, waking up each morning

We are so blessed each and every day.

Happy New Year!!

I knew this would be a blessing! I sat down to write out my lists (ended up doing things in categories), and within a few minutes I had 130+ entries on my list, and many more keep coming to mind.

My list includes things like God's presence in my life, the safety and security He's provided (emotionally and physically), my home, and PEOPLE! So many wonderful friends He's sent into my life (real-life friends and "cyber" friends)...they were each listed separately, and then events we'd participated in together in 2010 came to mind, all of which were a blessing...

I'm also grateful for all the green space in the city I live in - the boardwalk by the beautiful lake that tourists PAY to come see, being able to volunteer at our local animal shelter...well, the list could go on and on (and did, I guess!), but you get the picture!

It all ended with a little thank-you note to my creator for the blessings He's bestowed.

What a wonderful way to end a year and begin a new one! Thanks for this challenge, and Happy New Year to you, too!

I definitely think that would be okay. Post as many as you want here. I may post a few too.

So glad you joined the challenge.

This is a great idea! What a wonderful way to reflect on 2010 and look forward to 2011. We've been so blessed - it's very easy to find a multitude of things to be thankful for.

Might we want to post at least parts of our lists here (some things might too personal, of course) so we can rejoice with each other, or would that take up too much space?

Either way, happy new year to all of you! May you find 2011 to be filled with God's blessings, including good health, peace, joy, and prosperity!

Today's healthy reflection is about taking inventory of your gifts and blessings so I thought I'd give us a year-end challenge. LIST 33 Things--in your journal, or blog or anywhere else you please--YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR IN 2010.

And if you are feeling really froggy and time allows, why not go for 66 Things or even 99!

Feel free to return and tell us how far you got. emoticon
